SKYE MEET/RUN, 22nd/23RD AUGUST 2015.

We wish you were joining us too Jim...would be a treck for you, but John did say you could stay at his on the way up/break up your journey....maybe in the future?
Would be great to see you up in Scotland...maybe next spring if/when we get round to organising another Applecross run or something similar?

All the best mate :D

I have had an e-mail from Clara at the Sligachan Hotel re the meal...they have not received about 6 ppls orders, including my Wife's and mine :headbang: ......so have re-sent ours to be safe, to the e-mail address [email protected]

If you are unsure/had no confirmation, then to be safe, please re-send to that e-mail address from your own e-mail account/as opposed to using the link on their site, in case that is the problem, cheers

Sorry for this, but it is strange they received 11 peoples orders out of an expected 17ppl down for the meal, and some got confirmations but others didn't?!

Anyway, see u all soon

We will try and come along to the start point and follow you to Tyndrum. Got something on later so cant really go any further.
Linwoods only 5 minutes from us so would be rude not to. :)

I have sent my meal order again from two seperate mail accounts so I will wait and see if I get a confirmation mail this time. I was quick the first time in placing my order when you posted Craig so it sounds like a mass delete has taken place as there were no failed notifications. :?

Looking forward to this now and hopefully the weather looks to be ok as well.

"Alfasczi"
Yeah, too close to the day to start asking who they had, as didn't have that long to speak on the phone, lol......they seem to have a good number anyway, so hopefully they will get all the others sorted, though will phone again tomorrow.
Been great weather all week, bit wet now, but should be mainly dry Saturday, forecast for some rain/showers on Sunday...we will just have to hope for it being mainly dry and sunny-ish, lol.
Looking forward to it all the same/good weather is a bonus.

Cool, see you there

I've resent mine, but just in case...

Starter: Hot and Cold Smoked Salmon

Main: Pan Seared Haunch of Ardgay Venison

Just resent the food email and asked them to confirm its been received.

Car washed, polished and waxed tonight although by time I finished it was dark so it might look a mess and I couldn't take any photos.

:driving: :!:

Our car's used every day so well grubby at the moment......might get a wash tomorrow evening when the wife gets home with it.
And the plan for us is:fuel up Friday evening, get out of chiropractic clinic by 09.45 if possible and aim to be at Green Welly for 11.30(definately won't be before that)
Hopefully it'll be dry and maybe even sunny!!

Don't mention the weather. It's looking like a damp day ahead for us tomorrow driving up to Liverpool. :o

My car may or may not be clean depending on both the weather and the time I'm able to finish work today.

Our's definately won't be clean as I'm not in the mood....been a tough week.
Now,don't know why I didn't think of this a lot earlier but for all you guys heading to Skye through Glencoe then if you can spare the time then I'd highly recommend turning right at Glencoe village and heading round by Kinlochleven to rejoin the road north just before Onich.I'm sure others will have used this route but it's usually worth the "detour"

Glad I didn't clean the car as the first 2 hours from Liverpool were pissing down. Dried up over Shap, and stayed dry the rest of the way.

Now sitting in my room at the Glynhill Hotel ready for the morn.

Hotel has confirmed they received my food order so I know I'm going to get fed now! :D can't wait to get on the road in the morning :driving: :driving:

Got in from work. Thought time to clean the car. Just finished and it started to rain. It had better stop soon !!! Worse news found a ding. Advice will be sought.

Great idea to do the Kinlochleven "ring" as much more interesting but will add 20mins.

Got a confirmation mail for my food too and was quite impressed that I actually ordered the same thing!

Looking forward to meeting you all. :)

Just went out to put some things in the boot for tomorrow and theres a big bird poop in the middle of the bonnet!! :x

It's a shame I couldn't make it this year, but it looks like you guys will have a reasonably dry sunny day where it counts.

Enjoy and looking forward to some photos along the way :driving:
