Sent ours a week or so ago but didn't get a confirmation back,so hoping they got it :?
Sent mine as soon as I found the details. No confirmation either.

Have to ask as we are up there a few days after you guys. What are the Midges like this time of year?

Given that I seem to attract any migde from a two mile radius I didn't find them too bad last year. I did have repellent on but don't think I got bitten at all.
Definitely saw some but the were obviously not hungry

I bought Steph and I some anti-midge netting head gear thinking that things might be dreadful - I imagined we might have to drive wearing the things  but we were never bothered at all :?

Will be taking some repellent again though - just in case :(

They haven't been bad this year on the West coast but Skye is famous for its midge!

Haven't been there this year yet!

Take repellent and get a roof

It doesn't look to bad regarding the midges.Forecast 2 out of 5 - http://midgeforecast.co.uk/about-the-forecast/forecast-sites/portree/
Still taking some spray though :)

Looking forward to catching up with folks on Saturday when we will tag along for a couple of hours. Might meet some of you at your hotel for breakfast Sat morning - what time is that scheduled ?

Think we'll be having breakfast about 8am Jack you're very welcome to join us

Prepped the Zed and gave it a good clean and treatment inside (did 190 miles in it yesterday) and outside - looking great ready for the rain ahead on the run up to Scotland  Tyre pressures only out by 1psi on three of the tyres and a top up of washer fluid was all that was needed under the bonnet - it was clean enough under there

We all know a nicely turned out Zed is faster more comfortable and more reliable

Can't believe I'm the only one that goes to this trouble knowing the Zed's going to be filthy again within a day or so . . . .hey ho! :(

All ready for the weekend . . . .

Jax - Steph and I thought about 8 for breakfast as well . . . .not certain what time we're setting off though (I'll have a read through p1 again :D - Just read it  9.00am meet for a 9.30 start so breakfast at 8 makes sense  )

Have a good one everyone - sure you'll have a great meet

Cheers, Rob...sorry you weren't coming along....these regular Scots forumites are falling like dead midges, lol.

Re the Midges, they haven't been at all noticed this year on the West coast, tho as Alfa etc said Skye can be different, but forecast ok in that respect.

For those who are not familiar with the meet-point and surrounding areas.....those staying in the Glynhill, theres a Shell petrol station just a minute down the road/before the roundabout/has Vpower......not sure cost but diesel is currently 1.09.
Also, nearest petrol station that has Super unleaded to Linwood meet-point is the New-ish Tesco a couple of mins away in Linwood itself.
As usual on these runs, we advise having a FULL tank before leaving the meet-point, just to be safe  :driving:
