Sebastian Vettel to join Ferrari in 2014, but Massa remains

I'm sure this will coincide with Adrian newey's retirement from F1

Sounds slightly dubious still - based on Ferrari reaching certain performance targets in 2013...? Lots of hedging of bets there. I give Vettel and Alonso one season together before all hell breaks loose.

I can't wait to hear Alonsos race engineer say " Sebastian is faster than you,do you understand?"

Interesting, but why would he move from Red Bull, who are the team to beat and have been for a while, so makes no sense....take with a pinch of salt :)

This is why i said it may coincide with Adrian newey's retirement - He is the core reason why Red Bull have dominated the past 3 seasons

Red Bull will take the chance to promote at least 1 from within. Next year will be a big one for the Toro Rosso drivers. Who takes the other seat (Webber to move on or retire?) will be interesting.
If I was Lewis, I'd be thinking I'd just screwed up my future...

Okay, but the development of the car is a team effort, not just down to one person. When Adrian left Mclaren he most likely took his key staff with him and are they retiring too?

I reckon Adrian Newey designed cars have probably won more championships in the last two decades than any other car

Williams 92/93 etc
Mclaren late 1990s
Red Bull

Where was Adrian between Mclaren and Red Bull??

Hence he is paid £12m a year - I guess more than most of the drivers

Reikonnen to red bull??
he wont move cos no other team will let him do what he likes, ie skipping test days and off season training. was the only reason he went to lotus

BBC Sport's chief F1 writer Andrew Benson on Twitter: "Christian Horner denies possibility of Vettel to Ferrari in 2014. "Without a shadow of doubt (Vettel) will be part of Red Bull team in 2014."

He would be daft to move.... looking likely that Red Bull could give him his third championship. He'd be bonkers to move unless Fezza stump up a load more money, and even then there's no guarantee the car will be good.

2014 will be an odd year with the new regs coming in. Better to be with a team you know well, it'll be a tough season
