Not just that, but Montezemelo's (and Ferrari's) stance is and always has been "you can't have two roosters in the barn" (his words). The more I think about it, the more it's tabloid speculation that won't come to fruition. Alonso is No 1 there, and isn't going to let Vettel be No 1 instead. Ferrari operate on a clear No 1 and No 2 driver policy. So unless Alonso has announced to the team that he'd like to retire at the end of next year, or has arranged a swap deal with RBR then I can't see an Alonso/Vettel line-up. What's more, Alonso apparently vetoed Hamilton moving to Ferrari - why would he then say ok to having Vettel? More likely to me that someone like Webber went there as a swan-song year before retiring, but only because Ferrari were biding their time for a young driver they have their eye on to become available.
