Scottish meet - 7/8th August 2010 - Skye!

Richard You and Mrs took some amazing shots, Some of those landscape shots are stunning

Video footage as promised, sound turned right down due to wind noise. A selection of roads from throughout the weekend :driving:

Gutted I didn't get any footage from the A86. Quality is a little off for some reason :?

That aside, what great roads - editing was difficult as there was so much to choose from :D

Yup, have to apologise for my air-punching - was just relieved to get the campers out the way and show you what 2.0l of power can do ;)

P.S. Ally - really like that pic of my car - might be stealing that for my signature!
No probs, go ahead! There's actually another one similar but taken a couple of seconds beforehand, so catches the front aspect of your car - it's in the link to my flickr account posted earlier.

Not had a chance to check through everyone's albums yet but will try over lunchtime hopefully :)

Waiting for the video to load up now though :driving:

Cheers I can't really take any credit, you got some good ones yourself, it's even more surprising how well some of them worked when you think the vast majority were taken from rapidly moving Zeds.

Excellent Vid Matt, Loved the overtake on the wee bridge

Thanks. That overtake felt good too! A chance to be (feel) dramatic without being dangerous... not too sure the chap in the 1 series was too happy about it though, IIRC the next time I met traffic he got awfully close.

PawnSacrifice - just to say great video - prompted me to check out some of your earlier mod postings - admire your patience and commitment.

Also impressed with how some of you guys get some great still pics from moving cars.

Thanks 8)

The car certainly feels very personal now. Thankfully a lot of the hard work was done for me, others doing things first, and there's always plenty of advice around when I need it.

Reference the photos - most cheat and take a passenger, check Siftah's link! Although I think he, like myself, very much played the percentages - I had a lot of trash.

Pawn....sell me your steering wheel as I have neither the patience or skill to do it myself. If not I will just have to Nick it

S'true that :)

I didn't even bother using the SLR this time, just the little P&S and took lots of shots when we were behind traffic or moving more slowly. I think I ended up with about 40% keepers which is actually quite a high percentage considering.

They *all* needed editing to crop road signs and other traffic out, all needed straightening and most had to be cropped quite heavily.

Ha, not a chance - you'll be turning left before I hand over my steering wheel! It is a superb mod though, it really does improve the steering feel. Also, it is actually slightly cheaper to just buy the black M wheel, which is just a bolt on mod, well most of the time.

Note too self.
Next meet ensure to pack screwdrivers and spanners and innocent face

Good job you didn't spot mine

or I'd be coming back and finding my Zed on bricks and with mole grips on the steering column. :(

Very true couldn't believe the difference when I changed over mine :) , real easy to do aswell (biggest bugbear is waiting the twenty minutes to kill the electrical system), if want a hand doing it next time were across your way, visiting relatives in Kennoway.

What can I say I'm getting old, there's currently something like 5000 tracks on there and there are some oldies from my youth on there.

It could have been a lot worse and what's more it could have been some of MrsG's rubbish, Pussycat Dolls, Westlife, Girls Aloud or any other tuneless talentless cr*p that passes for music these days.

Old man rant over. :D

X2
As we were driving through Glencoe I had Pink floyd Blasting Out,,,it was a "Moment" 8)

Nice looking wheel Mr G.
Certainly would appreciate some one to do it....errr I mean give me a hand to do it.
Some one would need to instruct me on what parts I need to buy and where from. I am very keen to keep the chrome plastic spokes as both you and PawnSacrifice have done. :)

To badly miss quote a film 'Buy them and they will come' :D

Well I had Bruce Springsteen blaring out - Born in the USA and Born to Run albums
