Thank you very much Peter for another fabulous weekend in the Scottish Borders. As always great organisation, excellent routes and fabulous roads. Saturdays weather was dry, if a little cloudy but with the tops staying down all day :driving: :D Sunday was the complete opposite  Never mind as it did have a couple of huge bonuses...not only was the lunch in the Jim Clark Cafe excellent but afterwards during our visit to the recently refurbished Jim Clark Museum whom should Moz (AlienZed) and myself bump into and strike up a conversation with ? Only the legendary Mike 'Cosworth' Costin !!!! :o What a gentleman, what a privilege to meet him. Could have chatted all afternoon, just riveting. He told us Jim Clark was "a lovely lad, a smashing lad. The best. The best driver ever !" That was the cherry on the cake for me and a great way to end a fantastic weekend.
A few of my photos :thumbsup:20191006_224119.jpg20191006_224216.jpg20191006_224300.jpg20191006_224504.jpg20191006_222205.jpg20191006_224618.jpg20191006_222132.jpg20191006_224808.jpg20191006_222545.jpg20191006_122035.jpg

Thanks, I'm especially pleased that you enjoyed yourself so much at the musuem, visiting Jim Clark's last resting place must have been poignant!

Thanks for a great weekend Peter. Gutted we had to cut short on the Sunday but a grouchy SWMBO is no good as a passenger. Roll on next year

Great to see you..it was a 'moist' affair on the Sunday, you missed some cracking roads on the run up to Duns, you could see how Jim Clark could refine his skills , practising on those roads in the 50s and 60s :driving: :driving: :driving: :driving:

Thanks Peter for a great weekend

Truly some epic ( and empty ) roads in what must be one of the UK’s best kept secrets.

The Northumbria/Scottish Borders are stunning. Can’t beat driving on top of the world !

As has been said the Jim Clark museum was a really special place. Unfortunately I didn’t see Mike Costin I’m sure that would have been the icing on the cake for Patriot/Alienzed who got chatting to him

Finally, I think I get the award for the last man home !

Roll on next year

Hi Andy, glad you enjoyed it all. You tend to get a bit blasé when you live here at just how good the roads are out here, only when you go elsewhere do you see the traffic congestion, traffic enforcement, lack of openness, the lack of never ending vistas do you realise what we have up here..

Hopefully the full 2020 Scottish runs calendar will be published shortly so those dates can be put in everyone’s diaries to allow deconfliction to take place!

See you in 2020 :driving:

Thanks to Peter for organising a nice weekend. Enjoyed the company as always and the roads in the borders are fantastic. Pity we had to bail early but Pauline was ready for home! Look forward to next year's runs.
