Rugby World Cup

Not everyone is aware that the Ireland rugby team are made up up players from the whole of the island of Ireland :)

I'm from Belfast and served in the British army for 13 years. I am very proud of my service and very proud to be British. That said, I'm also proud to be Irish and fully support the Ireland team because it is a mixture of the north and south. In fact, our unified anthem sends shivers down my spine. It's a shame more people, that consider themselves to be British, don't realize the unified Ireland squad.

I do love to sing the Irish National Anthem before their games. It's a great anthem so the longer they stay in the more chance I have of singing it.

"Teeth" and "Skin Of".... But we'll take the win and head on through to the quarters

Really looking forward to the Welsh and Aussies getting it on at Twickers now :guns:

Great first half.. Nothing between them really so far.
You're quite right as long as nothing=3 points....

Perhaps they'll both lose and the organisers will let England through :P

Definition of wasted opportunity: Two men up for 10 mins and end up 3 points worse off!

Epic Ausi' defence :o

Well done Australia, they played that well.

With hindsight Wales shouldn't have spent 10 mins trying to ruck it over, when they could have taken 3 pts and then split a 13 man team in open attacking rugby, by throwing it about.
Still, Wales defence was unbeaten and they could yet olay Aus again in the semi final.

Yep, should've taken the 3 and then torn the Aussie back line apart. A real shame as Wales were just camped in the Aussie half for the last 40mins :(

...and never scored 1 point all second half. :(

Disappointing that Wales couldn't take advantage of having 2 more players. Great game tho, as was the Scotland game. Fingers crossed for Ireland tomorrow!

It was a great day for rugby today, it's a shame Wales could not win but the Aussies were good.

Let's hope Ireland are strong against France tomorrow!

Odds on Uruguay to lay waste to England ?
Odds on wallabies to put 50 against the jockanese?

My comment was tongue in cheek as it was never going to happen....Not sure 'the jockanese' are a team playing in the World Cup ?

Agreed - Ireland France should be a great game

What a brilliant display by Ireland. Playing Argentina rather than New Zealand was great motivation!
