Rugby World Cup

Some great observations above

After the end result it's easy to overlook the high points though - at the 68 minute point England were on a roll - and it looked like they just might even up!

That's what I don't get with you guys - when you loose you inialate your team - as Angie says above you expect to win everything which just sets you up for disappointment!

My reading was it was a tough tough game, well won by Australia - but England fought well and shouldn't forget that.

Scotland - well as usual I'll just take whatever we can get - what will be will be

Great sport

Lucky enough to see a few of the Japanese players strolling around Leamington last Thursday, wished them luck.
They are staying somewhere around here and train at a local school in Warwick. Hope they make the quarters.

I wonder what the odds are on Japan being 2015 RWC Champions????????? May be worth a couple o bob....

500/1 currently. England were 5/1 second favourite yesterday and Wales had gone from 14/1 to 17/1 but back down to 12/1 today.

Top 4 is NZ, Oz, SA & Ireland all in that order.

You can still get Japan to reach the quarters at 4/1

So, Tonga or Argentina ?

Have to say, I am really loving all of this rugby. I reffed 70mins this morning (my boys lost :(... But played out their skins against Kent champions :) ), and now I can settle back for a beer and more rugby. Doesn't get better

Oh, and Wee Bing got selected for the Kent County U16s squad recently, so now I get to go and see him training and playing with the best in Kent... As well as taking him to the Scottish Exiles for a go next week as well - yay !

It's aaaaaaaaallll good :D

I think that the saddest thing about England's performance will be the smug grin that it'll have placed on the face of the Welsh contingent at work... :P

A wee bit of banter between opposing sides at work is good fun.

I know I have missed the Rangers / Celtic crak since Rangers got relagated.

Wee fellas birthday party just finished and I have the same idea as you Bing. Beer and a watch of some good rugby.

I know exactly what you mean. After last weekend The Welsh decorated my desk with Welsh Flags and I've been finding them in my toolbag, overalls pockets, inside folders....every bleedin' where. Can only guess what's waiting for me after this weelend... :headbang:

Mon Ireland- not the best win but a win is a win! Me being Irish and my wife being Welsh it felt very strange yesterday to be cheering on England! Shame they are out!

I work at The Severn Bridges.... Can you imagine a more English/Welsh split location for a workforce ?
The banter tomorrow will be relentless. :D :D

My lad told me The Met office issued Flood Warnings for England this morning....
- due to the Scots, Welsh and Irish all pissing themselves !

I could always pull the grandparents clause.......could start to support Wales seeing as both my Great Great Grandparents were from Mountain Ash in S.Wales.......which would make me eligible to play for Wales(if I was that good that is).....:)

Sadly it wouldn't - it's by birth, parents or grand parents. Your lineage is too distant :)

Oh, and if you're Scottish as you location suggests - wash your mooth oot noo !
