Rugby World Cup

They did both play well - that was a great match. England's mistake was letting Wales back into it, not the decision at the end. Though the play after the decision to take the line out was just poor...

Discipline wasn't the issue - Wales gave away just as many...

Great game and I think the Ref was very sensible throughout.

That was as good as a cup final for me !

Funny you say that that, I agree... But every English (rugby club) friend I have on FB is whining about the ref. Pathetic, but I'm not getting involved

On a cheerier note, the look on the face of the girl who walked out with the Welsh team at the beginning (and the two big breaths she took in the tunnel beforehand) was pure gold 8)

Agree that the ref was blameless and was one of the better refs so far as the overuse of TMO goes.

Great game and Wales deserve credit for keeping going but a professional England should have closed the game out.

Makes for an exciting last few games of the pool. Loved it.

Were they saying that Wales didn't put a straight ball into the line out for the entire game ?

Other than that the Ref was pretty fair :).

Wales wanted it more

Very Amusing Paddy !

Yep. Big moment for her and a day that she'll never forget (I just hope she was Welsh !)

You have to question why they are so fussy about the line-out being a straight throw, even though its possibly a 15m chuck, when no team has yet managed to put a straight ball into the scrum, only 1m in front of them !

I was surprised that the Twickers Video man didnt keep showing a replay of the pass out to the winger leading to the Welsh try. It looked suspiciouslyslightly forward to me at full speed. (Glad he didnt though !!)

The result was spot on for the game - technicalities and Video reffing in danger of ruining the game for me.

I kind of like the occaisional dodgy decision - even if it goes against your team - reminds you the game is played and reffed by humans

Poor show by Scotland so far - hope they get a bollocking and pick up their game pronto. If only because the US deserve to lose at something

First half showing terrible but picked it up for the second.

We will find out how good we are next week against South Africa.

Your prayers seem to have been aswered Bing, together with a four try bonus point :D

Wouldnt it be terrible if Scotland, Ireland and Wales all manage to top their group and one other certain team doesnt even qualify !
As long as Wales can beat Fiji on Thursday, I think they are through. They may not even have to turn up for the Australia game - and why would they when they need to preserve players ?
Worry for England that Wales can probably afford to let Australia win !

With the number of injuries Wales already have I'm not sure I'd be so confident of getting them getting the bonus point win they will need to not need a result against Australia. In fact even if they do get the BP that will put them on 14 points. If England beat Australia and get a BP win against Urugauy that gives them 15 points.

Fiji have also been getting better.

Of course that all depends on England beating Australia which is hardly a given.

Still a lot of Rugby to be played

I agree Jasey.
The key is if Australia beat England beforehand leaving Wales a guaranteed second and the option to rest players for the knock-outs. However, Englands fate is still in their own hands if they can get 5 points from all remaining games. At least they arent reliant on others.
