Roof motor relocation - Bowser

A bit late but just thought I would say a big thumbs up to Ross for relocating and reviving my roof motor last Saturday  I was impressed at how quick he managed to get to the motor and bring it back to life!

Hi bowser, are you still fixing Z4 roof motor problems? Please help, mine needs fixing. I cant seem to pm you.

Hi all,

I'm a newbie (my post in that part of the forum), and picked my car up last week. Relieved to find that it had the motor relocation done at some point in its life, but I don't like how they've done it. It's been mounted down the side of the passenger seat, just above the seat belt anchor. It took me a while to find it as it was concealed by a black sock

Ideally I'd like to move it into the boot out of sight, as its much too ugly where it is - plus the noise is quite loud from the cabin when opening / closing the roof. Either that or I find a custom cover for it....

Never heard of anyone relocating with a sock before :o

Hi Bowser,
Thanks very much for doing the roof motor relocation on my Z4. It's a very nice relocation and fits perfectly in that gap in the boot, and I like the custom made cover for it :D I'd recommend you to anyone to perform this work. Now all I need is a nice day to put the roof down.
Thanks very much.
Tim

I'll just add a post to this thread to say thanks to Ross, another roof motor revived and relocated to the boot yesterday. Only took 45 minutes from arriving to leaving! I got to drive home in the sunshine, with the top down for the first time in months! :D

Another thanks from me, unfortunately my motor was fooked, only took Ross an hour to do (20 minutes of that was trying to revive my knackered motor), he had spare ones..... Brilliant.

Massive shout out to Ross! What an absolute top bloke and all round genuine guy. Did the relocation and replaced the motor with a recon, roof working again within 1.5 hours.

A huge thank you to you Ross.

He's in Hook in Hampshire - but as I've got a Coupe I've no idea about cost!

Once you've made 3 posts you can use the "Private Message" facility (icon near the top right of the screen) to send him a message.

Just post on a couple of random threads if it gets you to 3.

I need to get mine fixed and luckily Hook is nearby. Definitely an issue with the motor. It unlatches but the roof does not move. Bowser, can you Private Message me?

Thank you
