Roof motor relocation - Bowser

Help! Roof of my Z4 05 plate has packed up and I hear that it can be moved into the boot for future easier access. Pretty sure it's the motor as unhooks from windscreen then stops. Thanks, Matt

I’ll send you a message Matt :)

Good morning all,
Bowser could you message me regarding the relocation of the roof motor please. It works fine at the moment but a preemptive move would make me feel more comfortable. Many thanks, Paul

Hi Bowser from the sunshine state in US.. I can't easily come to you to get my roof motor relocated to the boot (trunk in Yank terms).. Have you published any DIY videos for those for us that are not able to drive to you?.. I would even pay for the video; if it detailed the "how you are doing the relocation without removing the top"?
Thanks

Good morning all.

Bowser, just a quick note to say thank you for the roof motor relocation last week. As it turned out I caught the motor just in time as it had been sitting in roof soup for a while. I am very happy to have the motor in the boot and in the dry.

Just thought I would put a piccy on showing the recently re-sited motor.

There was a "How To" posted on here that should help you out - link here:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=85266&hilit=roof+motor

Good luck.

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and looking to get my Z4 roof looked at. I think it's the same issue of muddy soup destroying the motor that a lot of you seem to have suffered.

Took it to my local garage and they seemed scared to touch it. Bowser - where are you based? Are you far from Hampshire?

Thanks,

Frank

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It looks like it's your lucky day too!

Just want to leave another endorsement for Bowser's work. Can get some proper use from my Z4 now the roof works again!

I live in Hampshire so drove to him on Saturday. He'd finished in no time and it looks tidy. The relocation hasn't diminished boot space and motor is actually a bit quieter where it sits now.

If you need this doing he's 100% legit and charges a lot less than going to BMW or a garage would.

Hi Bowser123

I’m new to the site and have the all too familiar broken motor that needs a fix/replacement and a relocation to the boot on my 2005 model.

As the ‘go-to’ guy for such things, would you be free to do it sometime soon?

Many thanks!

MM

Hello
This is my first post. I have had 12 years happy motoring in my BMW Z4 until the roof roof stopped working.

After searching this forum, and seeing the rave reviews of Bowser134. I would very much appreciate if anyone can provide any contact details for him.

Thanks
