Roof Down ?

I believe it's a crime endorsable with 6 points if caught with the roof up when not raining.

Anything over 40mph on a wet day and it goes over the top anyway. However, that said, the hail stones bouncing off the wind deflector on to the back of your ears is no fun at all.

Ah yes, those hailstones weren’t so much fun

In my Z4 coupe it's roof up all the way. For fairly obvious reasons.

In my E30 cabbie it's roof down. The roof only goes up if the car is parked.

Me too, although I subscribe to WD too, roof down, Windows Down, roadsters aren’t meant to have the windows up with the roof down, they weren’t designed that way! :D

Wait until a stone is thrown up from another car and smacks you in the face. That'll change yer mind!

I'm roof down if it's dry all year round. Hat and a good jacket in winter with the heated seats on and blower to the floor.

I wear a motorbike helmet

One of my practice girlfriends used to say it made her pyramids very firm

Us E85 owners should count ourselves lucky were allowed to take our roofs down in the lower temp conditions. IIRC on my 987's you weren't allowed to drop the roof below 7 degrees as it could damage some of the rods in the roof.

I have a roof up if it’s below 15c or raining rule, must be getting soft in my old age, I’m 29 next year!!!

I have had it down on some very mild December nights, driving through Edinburgh city centre at Christmas with it down is cool

well I hate to be the exception but... roof up for me. especially on cold dark winters nights, you guys are all mad! Sure I like having the roof down if its a nice warm sunny day, but otherwise it'll probably be up.

I didn't buy the car because it was a roadster, I bought it cos it was a cheap 2 seater sportscar with a 3 litre engine.

Your not alone I never drop the top in winter when I take the Z for a run I prefer to drive in shorts and a t shirt or maybe a fleece so top down is a no go not into driving in a hat and gloves and living on the outskirts of London I would never drive at night after dark top down but if I lived in a more rural area with roads across moors etc then I think the top would be dropped a lot more over the year

Where do all you folk live? I seem to be the only person in Edinburgh that does this. Never seen another with the top down in the dark

I’m Glasgow mate but I know what you are talking about hence why I started this thread !! Lol 😂

Here in Thailand I have to have the roof up when it’s over 34 degrees.... one time I didn’t, I got sunburned on a 10 minute long drive

December and January here are awesome - the temperature drops as low as 18, so I get to have to roof down and the heated seats on

Essex
07.30 still dark , roof down on way to work
17.00 dark again on way home , roof down
Absolutely love this car . Can’t say that enough :driving: 🏎💤💤💤💤

Just back from a spin with roof down the whole way, sun beaming!! Heat up full and heated seats on. That was Northern Ireland. Also had my first chance to explore the "SPORT" button! :D :D :D

The G's topless. :D
