To my immense annoyance I have found damage in the middle of my roof, only small but the fabric is missing obviously something has taken a tiny chunk out , what can I do about it?

YEA. in my head .. i will do that today . im so pissed off, im selling my perfect 2.0 and bought a 3.0 with more problems than a maths book.. :headbang:

I have a similar but smaller nick in my fabric, its just an aesthetic issue - it won't leak. Not really sure how you could fill it, lets see if anyone has a suggestion.

Looks like burn mark as said above, if it doesn't leak then don't worry about it, a patch will look crap and a new roof is big bucks

If there is water getting in, this will stop it.

I use it on our inflatable canoes. No patch required. :)

If there is no leak it may be best to leave it alone.

looks good.
might be worth op getting some, as it may make the damage less obvious to the eye, in black of course.

Move the penny to the left and you won't see it then  :exitright:
I have a tiny mark on my roof too

I had the same on my old Z that was caused by a fag butt :headbang:

You’ll just have to live with it or VERY carefully fill it with black silicon.

same roof but it leaks in, i can push my finger both sides, and.. it still has a working unmoved roof motor, so where is all that water dripping into ? and what can be done with all the crap weather about to befall us ?

and.. does anybody know who can fit a new roof at not silly prices ??

Hi, the water runs down into compartments both sides of the car, it then drains from there to exit onto the road from behind the sills (just in front of both rear wheels)
It’s these drains that tend to block with leaves/dead cats etc, eventually filling with water & drowning your roof motor :(
It pays to check the drains are clear by pouring a little water each side & observing it soaking your feet as it exits or pay a skilled contortionist to relocate the motor to the boot cavity

That's where the water drains are. Water runs in there and out just in front of each rear wheel. It's the bottom drains that block up and cause water ingress. Look on here for how to clear your drains.

swap the roof over before you sell the 2.0
That has crossed my mind. Daunting for me though. I don't have the slightest idea how to go about it. I would want help or I pay someone.
