Ronk

Surely it can only get better from now on for Ron. He has had everything thrown at him in such a short time and deserves a bit of good fortune.

Bugger !! bad boy :telloff: :telloff: Can`t blame you for trying to run before you can walk :)

Really sorry to hear this, hopefully the road to recovery will be quicker this time.
Best wishes Ron, rooting for you

Hello, I’m afraid I’m back to square one. I only been able to send this message by dictation so if there are odd words, it’s not my fault. Blame my Apple phone.
I was recovering very well. I’m looking forward to driving again in the near future. It was that close however last Wednesday I went to the loo and got my feet tangled up with my elbow crutches and fell down heavily. I am now unfortunately back to square one I was unable to summons help as I was in the house on my own due to my wife being in hospital I was stuck for two hours or more unable to get help however I have a brain with I was able to shout loud enough to wake up my Alexa machine or call for help Via that my neighbour came in. I was able to call the ambulance so if anybody takes the Mickey out of unnecessary machines I’m afraid they’re wrong honesty they saved my Bacon last week.
I’ve just been able to feel an easy peel orange it’s take me half an hour my hands are so weak and lost or failure. I’m currently flat out the hospital bed are waiting more information from the spine unit at the Newcastle hospital. I will try and keep you informed of my progress. Thank you for your support messages. It’s greatly appreciated. Thanks 🤩

Horrible thing to have happened as you were doing so well. Just remember how well you had done to get where you were, you can do it again.

Best wishes Ron, it must be so frustrating as you were doing so well. Sounds like it needs time to get the mobility back which is probably hard when you want to do more than your body will allow. Fingers crossed things will improve.

Great thinking with the Alexa

Tim.

Damn, that's really frustrating to read, and I bet even more so to live it, wishing you all the best

That sounds like a horrible experience ronk. :o

I'm just glad you managed to get help and wish you all the best with your recovery.

You have certainly had more than your fair share of trouble Ron. It must get better from now on. Us hardy northerners don’t give up. I’m sure you will soon be back on the road to recovery. 🙏👍

Hopefully one lesson learned, carry your phone everywhere from now on and have some sort of emergency help on speed dial. As previously said, you have managed to get better once so you can do it again.

Perhaps too far away for emergencies but close enough for menial stuff if needed. Just PM me.

Elbow crutches are the work of the devil  Hope you and your wife are back home soon

To be honest tho- I’m scared

Don't be scared, there must be something about Trump that the American people like, that we cannot see :headbang: (aka they would rather vote for a lying, conniving, sexist, racist and convicted felon than a women)

...In all seriousness, keep your chin up and take one day at a time xx

Who are we to be able to comment, we got Labour in.

Ron - compared to the initial fall, you have moved massively on so even though the improvements might be tiny per day, over the time it is big. Best wishes for a continuation of that

The re assurances/ encouragements help -.thank you
Typing is v difficult as my fingers trail the keyboard. The physio says it’s good to keep trying tho.

Your body has had a lot of stress, it’s going to take time for it to repair itself. At least with Trump back in power you’ll have something to laugh at now
