I haven't come up with anything this side of the new 911 targa or the F Type which would do what the M Does- offers the open top experience with performance of the M . The 911 cabrio looks compromised and the AMV8 does not offer a lot more shove. The MR is not perfect but it's going to be difficult to replace - perhaps a Boxter Spyder but they are holding big bucks.
But we all live in different parts of the world with different requirements- my roadster is rarely driven with the roof up.

Saying that there is nothing that competes with the Z4MR as they are what 2-3k less than the coupes… so bang for buck the roadie is better value. There isn't a bad decision, just personal preference the coupe is easier to live with. I never fell in love with the roadie but the coupe is gorgeous. Even the biggest coupe hater aka adamski had bought one so they must be good![]()
