This is a long long repeated subject..suggest you do a quick search on tyres since its often repeated and pretty much breaksdown along party lines..
The (damm the expense) Michelin snobs
The (capt sensible, been there, tried most, cost effective and proven) Verdstein guys
The (yee hah) Goodyear Eagles fringe..
The Kamikaze ditch chasers aka Sunny / Fullrun / no name /strange name
The lonely furrow ploughers aka Continental, Pirelli, Avon
The wild carders aka Kumho, Falken
Also the more fundamental runflats vs normal with a 98% bias amongst those that expressed a preference to non run flats...
Don't even get into tyre sizes..
So to unleash the full storm you need to specify
Runflats or non runflats
Wheel sizes or BMW type
Your budget
Your drving style
Your annual mileage
Summer or all year use, any serious cold /wet weather

thanks for the comments/suggestions, am still to make up my mind between not run flats and expensive run flats, between comfort, better grip and cheaper ....and the security of the run flats...... whats my plan for a flat with a not run flat tyre with no space for a spare ? hmmmm havent had a flat for a long time!!? What are your thoughts? Do any of you who have ditched the run flats have a back up plan for a flat tyre?

I changed to non run flats Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 3 just 3 days after I purchased the car. The difference to the handling, ride quality, noise etc is just plain night and day and I highly recommend it. As for what to do if there is a puncture I got a tyre inflator kit and I also have breakdown recovery service, between those two I should be covered.

If you think about it, what is the % or chances of getting a flat?.... We pay for breakdown, let them sort it, or Mice, sorry Rats tails would suffice.
