Quad Exhaust set up - options discussion

I suppose the costs are worth totting up:

Quad ///M boxes £21 (yes - thank you Ebay. It would have been £20 but I had to outbid someone :( )
Diffuser £280 after discount
Battery £60 (new off Ebay)
Plate and respray floor £50
Custom exhaust pipework £350
Various brackets, leads, heat shield, say £100

My labour - well for the love of it.

Total £860 give or take.

Frankly when you consider that a pair of back boxes for an ///M alone are £862 and the mid section £550 and a 'simple' cat back system in the region of £500, then I'm very pleased.

thanks for the positive comments guys

I can see the point re the RHS white spot. Where can I get that from as I've never really looked into that idea? I did lose the Z4 badge earlier in the week

Can you not get one from ebay.de? We already know you're an ebay master

If you need a taker for the "old" brake light..... :poke:

What about these from across the pond, not sure how legal they would be here.

Nice job! Bet that sounds nice also. Diffuser cut out worked well.

I like the idea of painting the bottom of the rear silencers to hide them a bit. That's one of the things I don't like about the Z4M is how visable the silencers are!

Here's a link to the how-to thread I did for the diffuser for those that want it: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9619 :)

Thanks Breaker and others for the compliments. I can see the VHT matt black coming out at the weekend.

Dannyboy - I just need a swap for your RHS light...

You can then have a matching set too :)

Looks fantastic phil! Great to see you completed it :)

Thanks - appreciated.
Done a bit of tweaking since those shots, tidied the battery, built a proper tie down clamp for it, levelled the diffuser, rerouted the main starter cable, etc. Still need to finish the diffuser to bodywork seal, but that's for another day.

Have to say a 15 mile blast this evening with the roof down and that exhaust note is something to savour

Zed's really do look great with that symmetry, and I have to say I'm jealous of the boot space you've saved. Excellent mod.. Yours and Andy's cars really should be showcased somewhere.. both modded beautifully but with different intentions... both incredibly humbling... lol..
