Dear President Obama

Please do what we couldnt and rid the world of this scum

Yours

He won't face the death penalty there, it's a part of the extradition treaty I think. Life without parole in a supermax prison might be worse...

You all sound like the people your protesting about!!!!! Wanting blood and guts.......... Maybe your more like him than you like to think!!!

I think most people are just exasperated at the ability of this bloke to take the piss continually and avoid actually standing trial. It's also a sense that a foreign national who uses a peaceful religion to preach hate against the country he chooses to call home and take welfare handouts from is something of a hypocrite.

I think most of us were being a bit tongue-in-cheek and just want him extradited/deported and to stand trial to answer the very serious allegations made against him.

Or maybe your sense of justice needs tweaking. Or maybe...

Ah surely its hypocritical to say we love our system of justice and then want to abandon it because your outrage that someone is taking full advantage of the system. Personally i think the man is deplorable and he should be gone..but i wouldnt want to lower the standards of this great nation and become like him. To be great has a cost, just like our welfare state..i wouldnt want to abandon it just because people take advantage of it. Follow due process, be stable and be consistant and we can still be proud that we truely are the democratic unpredudiced nation we say we are.

There is a difference between taking full advantage of the justice system and exploiting it and i for one have lost faith in our justice system which has allowed this low life terrorist to stay in this country all these years and has been incapable of deporting him,, and he is still here!!
Democracy? what democracy.

Exactly. Some people take things far to seriously.

It is in fact exasperation. This cleric is treated far more fairly than most. Then take this case in Texas and tell me something isn't wrong.. A women that lives in a cul de sac (no traffic) let her children outside to play. They were riding on electric razor's in front of the house. A nosy neighbor sees this and promptly calls the police and claims the mother was letting them play unsupervised. The neighbor made no attempt to go to the women's house to see what was going on. As if she had. She would have seen the mother sitting in a lawn chair in the front yard monitoring her children. The end result. The police arrest the mother. They can't get a hold of the father. As he is deployed to the middle east. So the police throw her into the police car and take her to jail. And the police left her kids to fend for themselves. She was released 18 hours later. I smell a law suit and justifiably so I might add. The police failed to make even the most cursory investigation at the scene. The mother was accused and so must go to jail. We'll investigate later.

But should you be an Islamic terrorist. Well! You can count on the EU coming to your rescue demanding that you review the courts decision, Then review the review of the courts decision, Then review the review of the review of the original court decision. :headbang:

Well i like the system how it is..yes there are mistakes, and people that take advantage as they do in other walks of life..but it is a good system. We wouldnt want to shut all libaries because some folk dont take there books back on time if atall because in general its a good system...and as for the people calling for the death penalty..are you crazy? Its plainly not a deterant, the countries with the death penalty have the highest crime rates in the world.

Who said we love our system of Justice,, who was it, coz whoever it was is an idiot, Yes we follow due process those that don't when caught can expect a slap on the wrist and told that they are a very naughty boy.
Those that preach hatred and insight murder to the very people who have offered them safety and shelter from those that would kill them desrve absolutly no sympathy, none, zilch, zero, nada. Obviously you don't have the stomach to see or want proper justice done but the silent majority do, unfortunatly history has prooved time and time again that when the silent majority have had enough they usually speak up with gunfire. The UK is weak, very weak and it is small wonder that the rest of the civilized world look at this country as a prime terrorist recruitment and training area, If it continues our allies will eventually lose patience with us and our impotent justice system, and then we are very much on our own.
If we can deport one man inside of a week becuse he is suspected of aiding terrorists with no proof but let a known terrorist stay here then there is something seriously wrong with our "beloved" justice sytem.
Sorry but for me those that say we are in danger of becoming like him if we kill him or extradite him are also part of the problem.
Make no mistake people, these types of liberals will continue there lilly livered crap long after your family and theirs has been wiped out.
As for saying those countries that have the death penalty have the highest crime rates, Bollocks, ask Saudi araba, the UAE etc what there crime rates are. and to be honest Hunter some of the analgies you are making are bordering on the ridiculous.
The death penalty is not a deterrent, its justice.

Thing is, It's easy to draw up one "horror story" example and contrast it with another unfortunate example to suit your own arguement, something the daily mail are very good at. I'm sure the number of "islamic terrorists" who've been dealt with swiftly by the full force of the law vastly outnumber the likes of old captain hook. As deplorable and ridiculous as the current situation may be and as much as I'm sure everyone agrees he should be on the first available plane out, I think it's fair to say it's the exception rather than the rule...

He'll be on a plane before long and probably spend the rest of his life in an american prison. But at least we can know we did things by the book and feel safe in the knowledge our justice system isn't so knee-jerk/gung-ho and we don't just turn up and throw mothers in prison as in the example. If I was arrested for a crime I'd like to think things would be done by the book and I have the full appeal process and safeguards in place for me to defend myself rather than people just deciding to skip a few things and do as they please because I'm obviously a bad egg.

The death penalty is not Justice..its revenge and the law isnt supposed to be venful. As anyone who has been found innocent after spending years in jail how they feel about it...the birmingham 6 would all be dead!!!!! I think anyone that serves as prosecution or on the jury of someone who is sentenced to death, executed and then proved to be innocent should then themselves face murder charges and then the death penalty. How many would want to find anyone guilty then...even though they felt 100% sure at the time. Any sentence that cant be undone is wrong!!!!
As for being lilly livered, im far from having a bleeding heart and would fight to defend our way of life and the freedom it offers us all. And i mean phyically fight..not a few words on a forum...and i would gladly take my punishment as the law dictates. The analigies are only rediculas because they dont fit your argument. The people on here that want to hang or shoot a guy for talking or shouting and expressing an opinion? As far as i know he hasnt killed anyone..he just shouts things the even i find pretty abhorrent. I think the right wing views expressed on here are both narrow minded and akin to being nazi like. Basically "Ignore the Law if it doesnt suit our argument at the time" this leads to mob rule.
A society can be judged on how it treats its prisoners.

Well said

A society is viewed on how it treats its prisoners, which why we are a laughing stock of those we call allies.
Comparing not taking a library book back to someone who is insighting hate and murder is RIDICULOUS.
ask yourself why he has no hands. he may not have actually killed someone because he is too stupid but he did supply the tools for others of the same ilk to do so.
And well done on being the first to mention the Nazis
Remember we shot Nazi spys and those that insighted Nazi sympathies during WWII.
Also well done on bringing into play the "but what about all the innocents that have died" in regards to the death penalty, it's the old favourite of those against justice.
Remember we are at war with terroists, and in EVERY war, innocents die. Continue to pander to these scum and we have already lost.
I do have right wing views in alot of aspects of life, but it does not include ethnic or religious cleanising, so comparing me to a Nazi is way out of line.

I've noticed you refer to the Daily Mail in nearly every post you make. I don't read it myself but it's actually not very nice to stereotype people who do read it in the way you do. If I were to say all black people were criminals you'd soon be up in arms. It also shows a lack of depth in your arguments if all you do is sling mud in that way.
