Black will also tone out a bit the extreme details.
Not sure about matt though:

And here you can make your own, lol

So today was the last day of having my Marmite machine on the road... I gave it a few good drives here and there... to and from various meetings with garages and painters and it has now gone into another bodyshop...

The guy I have working on it will be completely re-doing the bodywork, taking off all the paint and back down to etch primer... to get this bad boy smooth as a babies bum for her final paint job.

I think I am going for:

VOLCANO CANDY RED... which is a manufacturer option from McLaren. Twinned with the carbon fibre bonnet I think this will be a beautiful combo.

Colour looks good, but I don't understand why you would go for a different colour on the bonnet, that just looks wrong...
You might consider taking that table of the trunk lid too :P

No, seriously: why not go for 1 colour on the car and remove the spoiler. If you still don't like it, you can wrap the bonnet and put the spoiler back on.

Love that colour Brad, good choice. I agree with Bad about having a different colour bonnet. Can't see it looking as good as one colour all over.
Your motor tho, your choice.

You need to remember about the sheer amount of Carbon/Blacked out goodies that are on this car... The carbon fibre bonnet is a genuine piece and I love having the weight saving/tuner look of off matching bonnet to pannel colours.

The spoiler is going.... it's far too small and people will think I have an averaged sized manhood if I keep it... I want people to think I have a tiny manhood so it WILL be replaced by a far bigger more absurd one why? Because Racecar...

When all is said and done I think the Carbon front... carbon at the sides (inner wheels) and carbon at the back in the form of the spoiler will balance the look of the car out.

I have been promised the car will have the BEST lacquer money can buy finishing it off so I'm expecting a shimmering... reflecting... almost liquid look to the finished car. :D

Agree with the above that it's a shame the bonnet won't be Red also.

Xiaxio's 350z looks terrible with a real carbon bonnet (in my opinion of course).

Would look so sexy with a Volcano Candy Red bonnet...already enough carbon by the sounds of it!

I haven't read all 100 pages, but what exactly have you done on the engine to call this a "racecar"? If you really need it for downforce, then I'm all for it, but calling a 3.0 with standard engine and added weight a racecar... :?

Nothing... It's a stock 2.2l engine.

I need to address these weight issues now as people don't seem to be getting the message.

THE CAR IS LIGHTER THAN STOCK by 35kg to be more precise... the added 'weight' of the new pannels doesn't outweight the weight saving I have got from ditching half of the exhaust system and removing the 6cd autochanger... both heated seats and a ton of other weight saving things I couldn't list here...

I am NOT trying to build a fast car... This is a show car... it's just supposed to 'Look' GT3 inspired/racecar-ish... why?? All show No go? It's just what I wanted to do. A LOT of people will disagree on my mentality regarding that but i've heard it all before. It's all statistics imo...

You spend 0.8% of the time you own a vehicle 'going fast' ... speed limit is 70mph here in the UK in case people didn't realise... I'd rather my car looked awesome rolling around at 30mph than was 'FAST' for the whole of 3-5 seconds you get accelerating down the road for the Joe public? Am I the only one who gets it?

I duno... maybe i am just bonkers.

If I wanted to modify a car... purely for speed... I wouldn't have started with a 2.2l Z4 :D #justsayin

Brad, would those be Tina A's boobs (obviously I wont quote the whole name) in the black/white spotty top, if so we may have a mutual friend :D

Yes, yes they are! They are magnificent boobs... but the fact you recognized her purely from her boobs raises cause for concern...

Tina: "You're a cheeky bugger... your wife also has a magnificent pair"

Brad, I've seen your vid & so I know you are a young guy, Tina really is really is cougar material for you, & yes I concur with your findings, I worried myself that I recognised them too

I think this warrants further and more detailed investigation. This claim of booberry magnificence must be further substantiated with detailed measurements, sketches and if possible high resolution photographic evidence. Luckily I am a self taught expert in jumbly wobbly related matters and would be happy to provide a free of charge professional assessment as to the validity of this claim.

Pleased to hear the meccano wing is going by the way, make sure the replacement is ridiculously huge and colour coded. Black bonnets remind me of my early days of car ownership when you had to replace panels due to rust but then had to live with the raw panel for 3 months while you saved up £300 for a re-spray.

I'm on the fence about the CF bonnet now... Photoshop comes in really handy for making important decisions like this... what do we all think?
