Rob

I agree, you’ve bought the wrong car if you don’t look back at it as you walk away 👍🏼

Blast around the coast last weekend, monsoon season has started here in South Wales ready for lockdown :(

From yesterday's drive. The autumn colored landscape is absolutely fantastic right now.
I found a nice stretch of road that was so good I went back and drove it again. :P
Too bad it is only one more weekend left until it is time for hibernation.

Simple answer to that one. Don't hide your Zed away for the winter. Keep it faxed and tucked up safe. But on hose perfect crisp dry sunny days, go drive the boots off it. :driving:

The only problem with that BuzyG is that Fredej lives in Sweden (where I was born :D ) and where very soon they will have snow on the ground for 5 - 6 months and will all be driving around on 'dubbdack' studded tyres...not the best conditions for your pride and joy Z4

I see, yes that must make a difference to the decision making process.

Those crisp, dry and sunny days with no salt on the roads are sadly very few during the winter months here in Gothenburg. And the cost of keeping it taxed and insured are fairly high, so while tempting, it will be in hibernation during winter.

From the condition of the underside of the car I don’t think it has ever been used over the winter.

In the Gothenburg area it is more rain, slush and ice than actually snow. And these road conditions gets treated with salt. That is the main reason I want keep the Z4 off the roads during winter.

It is mandatory to have winter tyres in Sweden during December to April. With proper tyres I don’t think it would much of a problem to drive a Z4 during winter unless there is really deep snow.

You definitely don't want to be driving your Z4 in salty slush. That's a shortcut to corrosion

Uncluttered and clean....looks fab...!

Best of luck selling.

Thank you John. I didn't want to sell, but my mind is now made up and it makes sense in my currently circumstances. Hoping I can come back to ownership sometime later.

Youve only just got your 35is!!

 That’s exactly what I bloody said to her

She’s well into the Z4 and seems very smitten with the G29.

Not doing myself any favours here but her exact words were “I really love that, I love the chunkiness of that. It reminds me of you”  what that translates to is she loves the skirts, vents and scoops. The next question was “can we fit those side things on ours?” When I said no, she then said we’ll start saving for one of these then :headbang:

So watch out for my upcoming “Does anyone know how to fit G29 parts onto an E89?” post

I would steer well clear of that one! Brand new and up on ramps already!! :D

It was just up there as a preventative measure to let me check there were no stones stuck in the discs :poke:

Ahem, reading between the lines........................

However, I sympathise mate.
My missus very soon got over the shock of me buying her an E85 for Valentine's Day. We're in the BMW showroom, signing the deal for the new 1-series that replaced her 220 and my 335. I look around and there she is, all over the G29 in the corner.
"Wouldn't it be nice to have the set?" were her precise words!!!!

I’m Scottish, we call them kilts  it’s definitely the chunkiness that she’s making the comparison about.

Funny you say that about your Mrs. Thinking about it now when we were waiting for the salesman to get something when collecting the 35iS she disappeared and was over in the corner looking at a grey G29.
