Ahem, reading between the lines........................

I’m Scottish, we call them kilts  it’s definitely the chunkiness that she’s making the comparison about.

Funny you say that about your Mrs. Thinking about it now when we were waiting for the salesman to get something when collecting the 35iS she disappeared and was over in the corner looking at a grey G29.

"Wouldn't it be nice to have the set?" were her precise words!!!!

Well there’s next year’s valentines sorted for you then
Fortunately, my wife is not interested in cars. :)

Stevo, I’m thinking that wouldn’t be fortunate if that was the case for me.

With my OH having an keen interest I got to buy the one I wanted. I’d probably not have been able to otherwise and also it’s been so successful I’ve already got the green light to go up to a M40i if/when I fancy, which again if she didn’t have this new found interest I wouldn’t be able to do either.

On a completely non “get the car you want theme” the biggest thing about her having found an interest in the Z4 is that she loves going away in it as much as possible whether it’s for the day or a long weekend and that’s where I win big time.

We’re also now planning a 14/16 day European trip for when we can move around a bit more freely, hopefully next year

My wife normally says "well it's your money" so I don't have a problem. We are going away in ours this weekend. So even though she is not interested in cars it still works out. She doesn't like going fast though. :(

The Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama was held recently so last week headed up to take a spin around the track. When not closed for occasional race events the circuit is a public street, two way with a 60kph limit. Television doesn’t do ‘The Mountain’ justice as some of the bends, drops and speeds they race at are ridiculous. A big day out travelling 560 kilometres, but worth it.

60kph?! Jesus, that’s ridiculous. Is it enforced at all?

Keeping to the mountain theme, I took a trip to my local one. The later time coupled with French lockdown meant the roads were virtually empty.

Even without the traffic I still managed to miss the good light so the iPhone filters will have to make up for it (or not!)

Australian police are ruthless when it comes to enforcing speed limits. I’ve not driven around Bathurst, but I imagine the local police fund their department from fining speeding visitors!

I’ve heard the tales about the Aussie police, they make the British police seem half arsed by the sounds of things!

Lovely quiet Welsh roads :driving:

Trip to North Devon, first time in the rain, first time dirty.

Survived, even the carpet / clutch snag....qe.jpg

Looks like Bideford to me - my ///MC has been across that bridge many times.

Mumbles! Was there earlier in the year and enjoyed it.

Good roads, shame the missus was in the car!
Same here, the wife does tend to suck all the joy out of the Zed when she's in the passenger seat, apparently I'm trying to kill us ? :D

Challenge is to see how much you can press on before they notice. Smoothness is key!

Or be really lucky and have an OH like mine who loves it as much as I do :driving:

First frosty morning down here.

Great photo Paul.

Looks a lot like mine, but now I've retired I wasn't up before the frost had gone!

Hah, thanks mate. Overdue a catch-up with you lot but been busy with the baby and our house build.

Maybe next time I could lie in and you take a photo of the grey car with the “boring” wheels? :D

Well I'm sure your priorities will have changed what with your newbie and a house build!

Hopefully see you some time, but not for the next month. :(

I did meet up with a couple of other SG Coupes at the Black Swan in September with the "boring" wheels - 2 Ms and a 3.0Si. Mine is the nearest one.
