Myself, Alienzed and Patriot66 at the top of Shap today

Moody & mirrors the scenery on the moors near Todmorden earlier today :driving: one minute blue sky , the next black clouds & thunder :driving:

Are you located in Tod? I'm literally just down the road, Littleborough way.

I live between Burnley & Padiham so approx 15 miles from Todmorden but my parents live near the moors at Cliviger which take you over to Hebden Bridge , the pic was taken on that road near Heptonstall , there is a road from there that drops down into to Tod

Scotland today - the drive up the west coast from Fort William to Kinlochewe was simply spectacular, blue skies and roads that were made for the roadster experience

Stunning scenery Marlon - hope you have a great trip. Is that photo in the Competition yet?

Thanks fellas, only on day one - lots of driving planned, although looks like heavy rain is coming in tomorrow so will hang fire on the big runs. Can't complain as the last 2 days driving to get here was top down all the way. May enter the pic next month Mr Tidy.

Moody Scotland - Wester Ross, A832 West of Braemar Junction today:

You have the roof up  and I thought you a proper northern driver.
:D There’s driving up norf and then there’s Scotland!
Talk about 4 seasons in one afternoon  at times the rain was biblical, only managed 20 mins roof down driving, which was a blooming miracle

And one of Wastwater for good measure. If I can get to grips with this infernal tablet, then I'll do a proper BuzyG write up.

Out for a pre-MOT run this afternoon.

Photograph taken at the remains of WW2 concrete runways at RAF Upottery (Smeatharpe) in East Devon. Used for deployment of US paratroops for the D-Day invasion and B-24 Liberator anti-submarine patrols.

You may find this photo of interest. It is a clipping from a 2008 issue of Aeroplane magazine that I keep in my Band of Brothers box set. 20180911_181535.jpg

Very interesting. Has the cleared landing strip now been covered in rubbish once more?

Great photo Colin  About 15 years ago I had an interesting experience in the car park at the foot of the big gloomy mountain on the right, Liathach. My cousin and I had a great day climbing to the summit and returned to the car about 4pm soaked through and very tired. Unfortunately the car keys and alarm fob for my 328i Touring were shall we say also a little damp  It was now going dark, pelting down and we couldn't unlock the car. No phone signal either :( My cousin Matt then suggested we try to dry the alarm fob over his gas stove. It took us a very long 2 hours huddled under our coats gently BBQing the fob before we successfully unlocked the car and thankfully drove to our hotel in Ft.William. Nowadays I always put my keys in a plastic bag....just in case ! :D
