Day One of a 5,000km road-trip in south-eastern Australia. A combination of roadworks and light rain :x

Roof was down, more than it was up , with the weather improving the further north we drove.
Starting near the Victorian snow fields with morning temperatures struggling to reach zero we ended up in the tropical sugar-cane fields of southern Queensland before reaching the coast and turning south again. The Bimmer performed faultlessly with effortless cruising and impressive overtaking, even returning an average of 8.2 L/100km

Looks just perfect. Never driven in Australia. I did ride Brisbane to Sydney, through the mountains, on my push bike once. That was 35 years ago. I will always have those memories, great place. 8)

I drove from Brisbane to Sydney in a rented Hyundai i30 back in 2011.

It was quite an experience, but they really do enforce speed limits so the Hyundai was plenty quick enough!

Highlight of the trip was driving over Sydney Harbour bridge - that felt really special.

I don't think I'd have a licence for long in any Z4! :roll:

Not many better places when the weather is like that. Used to get up early for work just for an hour out on the Levels or in the Mendips.
