Poor thing didn't make it through the night :-(

The first operation will cost 3.000 euro... then there is still aftercare and the first aid given now. So I reckon we will lose 5.000... But he is just such a sweet thing... Even if I would have to sell my Zed, I'd still go for it!

with so much wrong going on that is great news and has put a smile on our faces :) hope all goes well

sell the car, you will get another one later, but you can never replace a friend like this..
It's a no-brainer,.
I have said a prayer for the miracle to continue...

This is such an emotional story as I'm sure anyone with a pet will be able to relate to it. Bringing a tear to my eyes.

Lovely pictures you've got there. Remember, whatever happens, you are doing the right thing by him, but obviously, I hope all goes well and things go from strength to strength.

Just catching up on posts sat here on a night shift and found myself with a proper lump in my throat reading this.

I hope with all my heart that he pulls through this OK. As a dog owner myself I can empathise with how you must be feeling - they give so much and so unconditionally....

Good luck, dogs are amazing animals and I feel for you. Never got over the loss of mine and like you, if money could have bought his health back I would have done it.

I take it you have no insurance then?

It's been a hell of a day... time to try to get some sleep now and hope for more good news tomorrow...

pvr: no, not insured for that... thinking of getting one now though :?

anyway, I'll keep you posted...

All the best

Can you not claim via insurance ?

As all good things that seem to good to be true... it was unfortunately the case here too...
He started to get better but then an internal bleeding occured and he started to get worse again. The vet did everything he could but at 2 o'clock our little Raiko lost his fight.

So this morning we went back to say goodbye.

Sleep tight my dearest friend...
