In the state I live in they don’t require a plate on the front of the car...much nicer IMO.
On my older Ducatis I had 72-DUC (I once had a car full of teenagers pull up behind me in a pull off and asked me “Sir is that a 1972 Ducati?” Must have been a bet...?) on my 1980 900 Supersport I had BEVEL, older Ducatis had a series of bevel gears actuating the overhead valves vs belts. They no longer wear those plates as I now have antique plates on them. Advantage is that you buy the antique plate once and you pay once, no yearly fee as with normal plates.
