PCP coming to an end advice.

Well that time is creeping up on my Z and thought I would consult the wealth of knowledge and experience on here.
I am not looking to do a deal on a new one as life has thrown me in a different direction so looking to sell it once the balloon payment is paid.

My dilemma is I have no idea what the market value is on it.
I have been on various car buying sites and the prices being asked vary quite considerably.
There are not many 3.0 out there in all honesty, which doesn't help as the prices being asked are all over the place.
This is where I need some of your thoughts.
What do you guys (and girls) think I should be asking approximately?
I will list details that I know below and hopefully you can shed some light on your thoughts.

Its a S drive 3.0 M sport manual.
First registered in April 2011
Space grey with coral red interior and aluminium trim
14K mileage.
Service pack until April 2016.

Easier to say what is hasn't got really as the guy who had it before me put every possible extra on it from new. Far to much to list but included is:
I drive with professional sat nav with all stuff you find on there. Internet, tyre engine info etc.
Heated seats
Folding mirrors
Professional music system with 7 speakers
Cruise control
Climate control
Front and rear parking sensors.
All the M sport extras (steering wheel, door sills etc) I also have been told it has a different front and rear bumper to standard models but not sure if that's the case.
I cant think of anything else but you get the picture. I think the only things not added when spec'd was heated steering wheel and comfort entry (though the roof will go down if the key fob id held down when unlocking)

I am not really looking to sell here just some feedback on your thoughts but of course would love it if someone on here had it and cherished it like I have.
It has been my pride and joy and I still get in it with the biggest smile on my face. The other half and I go for a drive just for the hell of it and no other car I have owned I have driven it just to drive it.
It will be sorely missed but I hope to have a roadster again sometime.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
I will post some pictures on following post so you can get a better idea.

I appreciate any feedback. :)

Looks nice, don't know a great deal about E89's but looking at what is available on BMW's used approved site £20k is a pretty good shout.

3.0 straight 6 :) Very good spec , great paint colour & at 14k should be virtually as new
A great buy for someone

That looks at £20k all day...

Funny time of year to be selling, I dare say it will be worth the same in spring 2016...

Assuming the balloon payment is significantly less than 20k...? Hence worth paying to acquire. Otherwise just return it.

Bought my 2010 M 3.0si auto from the BMW dealer in Colne Lancs for £18.5k, no trade in or finance, with 20500 miles so I did get a good deal.

I think upto around £20k is an achievable price..hope it all goes well

I really appreciate all your advice. Many thanks for your help.
To answer you question A1GSS, yes final payment is 5K and they offered 10k for a swap so I wasn't happy with so little equity. Hence my original question. I will pay them the final payment and see how close I can get to 20k.

I may wait until the spring to sell if I can get same sort of money for it but doesn't matter either way as it spends the winter under cover in the garage. It will depend if someone wants it before then I guess.

I am in Suffolk Cerebra.
Many thanks again for all your advice :)

When I traded my wife's car in, the dealers price was not far away than webuyanycar.com so it might be a good idea to put your details in as a guide!

Webuyanycar give bad offers, but I guess the advertising money has to come from somewhere.

I sold my last car with trustedcarbuyers, most of the smaller network independents are better as well but expect them to take off 5% off the quoted offer when they find undeclared faults.

Looks a lovely car. I reckon you'd find a Forum buyer for that. I think, regarding the value, you'll need to look at what 35i and 35iS models go for at similar age/mileage and make sure you are in line with those because a potential buyer will need to see a significant discount against them. Otherwise, why would you go for the (admittedly lovely) 3.0i model when could lay a few £ more and get a lot more power/performance.

The dealer gave me 8% more than wbac.com so just factor that in.

A local garage owned by a friend of a friend, offered less than wbac so as I said it's a reasonable indication of value- at least it's a starting point.

I think I will put it up for just over 20k with the hope of ending up somewhere around that price.

I have tried wbac in the past and normally fall short of the mark but I will have a look at what they offer even if it's just a reference point.

I am in no hurry to sell. If the right buyer comes with the right price then I will let it go (reluctantly) but until then I will enjoy it, especially if the weather holds out like this for a little longer. :driving:

It will be interesting to see what price they come up with - mine is a similar /high spec although Dec 2010 and 17k mikes and Auto.
Wbac came up wth £16k last month - I thought it was a bit low but you know what it's like when you get a bit of a bug to change :D

I've decided to hang on for now.

If you don't want to go down the wbac route, why not go into the dealer and just string them along as if you were going for a new one? Naughty but they don't have any scruples !
