Optional extra you wish you had...

Cruise for me. Got it on my Fabia and use it all of the time on the motorway.

One thing that I'm glad I don't have is Nav. I think that even the standard unit looks ugly and I can always chuck the Tom Tom in if needed.

I had Cruise Control on my Type R, missed it on the E88 and now I've got it on the E89 I haven't really used it. Need to hand the car to my mum, she uses CC from the moment she's out the drive but she can be frightening with it. She uses it to accelerate by the 5mph increments it allows.

A hard top for the roadster that resembles the coupe roof.

Flexible material for the body work, that can change shape to your liking.

Oh and it generates its own petrol!

Options that are most probably out of the question, sorry :-p

A hard top that resembles the coupe roof is on my list of things i would like. I think about it a lot one day maybe I will do more than think about it.

I believe my car has every single extra which was available:
- Auto lighting
- Auto wipers
- Xenon headlamps
- Extended lighting
- Extended storage
- Front + rear parking sensors
- Heated seats
- Folding mirrors
- Sat nav
- Professional speakers
- Bluetooth
- Wind deflector
- Sports seats
- White package + wood trim
- Cruise control
- 19" alloys

The extras were over £10,000 in total but I love all of them! :D If I had to choose, I'd say Sat nav, cruise control, parking sensors, and folding mirrors are probably the most useful.

I think the rain sensing wipers would be cool,,,, sometimes the delay wipers just aren't slow enough.

they arent actually extras on mine (standard fit) but quite often I find them annoying

agreed with a hard top that looks like the coupe, before I purchased the zed I was looking at Boxsters and there is an aftermarket hard top which gives it the look of a Cayman.

Never had them so I don't know for sure, but the intermitent dial diffently annoys me, to the point I end up running with them off and occasionally press the wiper for one swipe... Hate the sound on a wipper squealing across a dry windshield.

One option on my Zed I'll never buy a car without again is the heated seats thou! LOL

Folding mirrors would be nice. I have cruise on my ///M but never seem to use it much, even on long journeys. Don't know why.

Possibly because even when your on a long drive it's still on and off as you start to catch upto the car in front or someone pulls out. That's where the new tech out there that Volvo have is good, it keeps a nice distance speedy up and braking if the fud infront decides they've had enough of sitting at 67mpg and now fancies 74mph

I wish I had idrive. Realised i needed that to be able to get Bluetooth streaming. I initially thought it was only for sat nav...

PDC, cruise, Bluetooth, auto dimming/folding mirrors, auto headlights rain sensor wipers and heated seats are things I use every day.

Reverse activated flip down side mirrors.
Heated windscreen.
Switchable loud exhaust.
Targa lift out roof panel :)

Had my heated, colour coded folding mirrors on Mini Cooper S got stolen on Christmas Eve last year cost £800 to replace. Worst extra ever... when folded they reveal one screw to remove.. not attached to the alarm. About 10 Minis in my town had their mirrors stolen that night Merry Christmas As*hole!

Seems they are easier to nick when folded as the motor won't allow them to move unlike non electric folding mirrors.

Can't believe the popularity of the heated steering wheel. I've been driving for 27 years and I can honestly say i've never thought "Oohhh I wish I had a heated steering wheel"

Mine is pretty well specified but I wish it had extended Champagne leather.
