The MC battery suddenly died last week. Overnight on the CTEK left it able to start the car, but a few hours later there was nothing.
So, a quick visit to Tayna and today I decided to swap the batteries.
I undid the old one, slid it out, and as I was taking it to the garage the heavens opened.
I decided that the best course of action was a cuppa and a choccy digestive (plain choc, obviously), so closed the tailgate and once the deluge had subsided and the local wildlife wasn't loitering in pairs trying to thumb a lift, I returned to the car.
The tailgate wouldn't open. That familiar faint whirr as the lock is lifted was absent, probably due to the battery being on the outside of the car. Fortunately the luggage cover is retracted, so I could contort myself into the boot or send a small child in to connect a battery via some jump leads, but other than that is there an easier way of getting the boot open with no power to the car?
