Had a good drive in the MX5 today. Route looks fine with just one detour at present due to a closed road. MX5 was great if a little limp when it came to overtaking

Still, nobody passed me or even caught me on the open roads today so I must have been making good progress.
Itinery ( will provide more detail nearer to the day) I've tried to combine some great stretches of driving road with more scenic bits in between. I've also avoided the narrow single track roads in case we do get 15 or more cars turning up.
9 30-10am. Meet at Asda, Queensferry. WC & fuel.
10-11am. run through to Ruthin and then Llyn Brennig, highlights will be the Nant-Y Garth pass- great set of twisties & the Cerrigydrudion road, one of the best roads in Wales!
11- 11.30am Brief stop at Llyn Brennig for WC and great photo opportunity on the road overlooking the lake.
1130-12 30pm run through to Bala, the Evo triangle ( well most of it)and the mountain road over to Llyn Celyn.
12 30- 1 30 Bala. Lunch can be had at various places including a chippy!
1 30pm- 3 00pm From Bala we take to the back roads then the A5 to eventually reach the edge of Llangollen which we avoid and drive over the horseshoe pass, we pick up the Ruthin road again and re-do the Nant Y Garth pass- a chance for those who messed up on the hairpins to do better a second time!
from Ruthin head for Queensferry with a couple of detours to end up crossing the Dee on the new bridge ( a very mini version of the Millau Bridge)and finally stopping at a new services for coffee (Starbucks), fuel and WC - all optional. Then it's goodbye and head for home at about 3 :30pm
