Ah, thanks

There was a part where we took a wrong turn and ended up on the wrong side of the lake. Thanks for guiding us back to the rest of the group! When you punched the sky, I was puzzled for a moment. But as soon as you floored it, it all made sense
I thought I would give a little write up of how the day went from our car:
The day started well enough, with the bright summer sunshine showing everyone's Z4 in the most glamourous light. Except for my rather unwashed offering! A busy working weekend meant that I had no time to clean my ride.
I've only had my car for a couple of weeks and it is easily the fastest car I've owned. A first timer to a meet of this kind too. But John was very welcoming and I had a nice chat to both him and Craig. I felt surprisingly at ease with everything, despite not knowing where we were, and exactly what we were about to head off to!
Right from the off, there was an indication that this was going to be a fast ride. The grey M3 roadster in the convoy roared past just as we were heading to the motorway. I knew I was going to have a tough time holding on!
From then on, it was a thrilling ride occasionally punctured by slowing down for the general public to ride past on their bicycles or getting lost at the tailend of the group!
There was a moment in the Evo triangle where I punched it down a long dipping straight, plunging into the forest. I could feel the wind pouring in through the sides and for a moment, everything slowed down. I never looked at the speedometer, but judging from the screams in the passenger seat, I think we were going fast enough!
I felt on the edge of control a few times, especially on raised parts where the car would lift up. I couldn't see where the road was for a fraction of a second. Coupled with the feeling that the car had limited grip, both my heart and breath froze. I seriously thought I had lost it. But the car nose would dip and the road magically appear again, guiding me to the next challenge. It's a good job I told my girl to check the map during these moments. Whilst I was thinking we were about to die, she was trying to figure out which side up the map was, blissfully unaware of anything.
I never thought the car could go so fast. It was a wonderful experience and one that I hope to enjoy again in the future!
