North Wales Run Sunday 10th April

Adam D

If you don't find a garage in Chester there is a Shell garage with V Power on the B5441, Station Road in Queensferry. It is right by the motor auctions, 1.5 miles from the Starbucks where we are meeting.

See you later.

Sorry folks, was planning on being there today but my Zed is sitting on my drive with a punctured rear tyre waiting to be recovered to Sytner's tomorrow for replacement.

Great weather for it, hope you've all had a cracking day.

:driving:

What a fantastic day out with some very fun and technical roads - great to put some names to faces :D

Sods law struck though upon leaving to get petrol, offside rear coil spring (i suspect) made an almighty bang/twang when taking it easy. I can't see if it has failed but I now have a slight jingly rattle on that side and the arch gap may be a bit smaller - what a pain :(

Just got home.... had a bit of a petrol hunt on the way home.. lucky the locals were very helpful directing me to a Shell which was open... as all the ones my iphone guided me to were shut... however the nearest one was 14 miles away, and my car petrol meter was telling me 12 miles left!!! Lucky it was all downhill, so even when i got there my car said 10 miles left!!

Was a fantastic meet, and very well organised (cheers John)... a city boy like myself loved the roads.. although no quite quick enough to keep up with most of you (esp Siftah who was damn rapid in the bends)

John,
Thanks for organising a great day out! It was my first meet and everbody made me feel welcome. Great roads with stunning scenery. :D

Hope you guys had a good meet today. Think I passed you all near Llyn Brenig. I was the Z4 going the other way flashing and blowing my horn....gotta say you all looked good in 'convoy'.

Aha jazzmonkey! So that was you! I thought you had finished your run of the Evo Triangle early or something...

My thanks to John for organising the trip. My apologies to everyone for being late to the party and then getting repeatedly lost around the place

You're all incredibly fast! I put this down to either me having the smallest engine in the group (probable) or that I don't have the skills to keep up (definite).

How on earth you guys drive as fast as you do, I'll never know. I might have to look into driver training...

I wasn't on the meet today, just so happens I saw you all. Not been on here for a while otherwise I would have known and joined you all. Next time hopefully.

Ah, I see! I'll be sure to see you next time then!

Oh, and my thanks to all those who made sure I was heading in the right direction, in the end!

I did see you coming the other way in a grey (I think) Z4, I thought it was someone who had turned around and either gone to find stragglers or do a reverse lap at the time.

Great day's driving, thanks to all who attended and sorry to those we managed to loose somewhere on the route :)

Jazzmonkey, shame on you for not turning around and following us!

Spikedjuice, sorry you found the pace challenging, probably because the car is new to you, once you're used to it I'm sure you'll be keeping up :)

Yes that was me in the Silver Grey..... :driving:

I might have a video of you going past flashing and waving :D

Had a quick look at the videos and the suction mount did a decent job, bit of wobble but easily forgiven - shame the sound is poor on the Go Pro Hd.

Thanks to John, Colin and everyone else for welcoming a couple of rogue southerner to the group ;)

Currently stranded at BMW chelmsford whilst they source a coil spring it snapped a few inches from the top :(

Thanks again to John for another fantastic run out, I'd forgotten just how breath taking the scenery can be around there. The single track roads with no barriers and sheer drops made me 'clench' a bit at times though!

SpikedJuice - hope you didn't think it was rude of me to overtake you and that silver Vectra at the start of the Evo triangle, I just wanted to drive it at my own pace. Was great to finally drive the famous Evo triangle at speed and I can definitely see what all of the fuss is about - pure adrenaline! :driving:

Will someone post some bloody pics up please...the wait is killing me here!!!
