you mean the washington services up past the angel?

are you from near birtley, i work just next to komatsu

Yes mate, Washington services southbound. The rest area rather than the petrol station? a bit easier to meet up in that bit. Is anyone else thinking of meeting up with us there? I'll pvt my mobile number if anyone wants it so we can confirm. Looking forward to it :P

238 miles (4hr 4min) for me if I come... why do you lot have to live soooo far!!! Who's the most southern person going?

I lived in Hampshire for about 12 years so could I claim to be the most southerly person if that count s, now living in Scotland so possibly the most Northerly at the same time, plus my parents live about 20 mins away in Eaglescliffe so also one of the closest.

No, you only get to chose one! :P

if all turn up, this could be quite a large meet, is there any records for the largest meet?

This seems to have grown way bigger than I expected, can everyone please remember this is the first time I’ve ever done anything like this so as long as your all going to pack a hopeless sense of optimism and leave any grand expectations at home we should avoid disappointment.

I will get a PM sent out shortly, cheers all.

Pm's sent to all on the first page list (i think), if your on the list and didnt get a pm can you let me know, cheers.

 just while we are on the subject of swapping details.

can anyone who is travelling from newcastle and wanting to slip into the convoy send me a PM including

where we are meeting you
what time
telephone number

i am meeting z4alfie at birtley/washington services at 08:45 so if you plan your meeting time according to that it would be easier. once arranged i will post the details up and will circulate the details like phone numbers via PM

Approx how many hours to where this drive is happening at from East Anglia?

Used to take me about 4 hours from Sudbury, 3 1/2 if your really lucky, A14 past Cambridge & Fenstanton (should'nt be to bad on A Sunday morningbut a friggin nightmare any other time with loads of speed cameras) then just follow the A1.

I think i might be on for this

Ed? PCBung? Paddy???

I dont know Lucy... I im supposed to be at an old uni mates house party in Manchester the night before! If i did go, I'd have to meet you somewhere a little north? :(

And id need new tyres, which wasnt a good idea 1week before the wales run - stupid release compound :(

Decisions!

Ed, if you do go i could meet you on the way over, i am just east of manchester, i too am not sure if i am going though

Hmmm, yeah I'm going to have to pass. I have a trip to Dublin coming up and want to save a bit for that. Plus being on dayshift that would a lot of driving on Sunday.

Plus across the Air Force it's Mustache March, and I would hate to meet all ya'll with this fuzz/dirt/mustache thing (it's creepy) under my nose.

First off, hi all.

With any more then 10+ cars, its usually good with a few 'sweepers' who are at the back and know the route to pick up any lost stragglers. Id be happy to do this :D

I know the route fairly well so ive been nominated back marker (and pressumably to stop me from spoiling the view with my shopping trolley  ), most of the roads we're following are amazing to drive at any pace, so i reckon we'll all have a laugh no matter what the speed differential is.

Ps. I dont know if rob's pm'd out the map yet, or if this is common knowledge already, but google street maps now seems to cover pretty much every minor road in the north, if you want to take a look around the run. Streetmaps taken over most of my weekend, its fairly addictive!

I'm going from Surrey! About 270 miles for me, but I'll be stopping overnight in Nottingham and seeing some friends on the Sat before coming to the meet on Sunday. Will be a lonnnnggg drive home on Sunday night though!
