Thanks for getting back to me, that sounds perfect and kind of what I'm looking for. Help or signposting would be greatly appreciated.
Thinking back a few months. Is yours an E86 and was it at Whitlingham Lakes by the coffee shop?Zedsdeadbaby said:Just picked up the PM thanks, I'll be in touch shortly.
Maybe I should take early retirement then; as I'm as stiff as a board!enuff_zed said:as I took early retirement I am fairly flexible.
Shouldn't have upset your wife!Pondrew said:Maybe I should take early retirement then; as I'm as stiff as a board!enuff_zed said:as I took early retirement I am fairly flexible.![]()
Just to get the thread back on track, Vall and I met up with Graeme this morning. Lovely black E86 in extremely clean condition. Reset about 20 years worth of old codes and cleared the engine light.Zedsdeadbaby said:Thanks for getting back to me, that sounds perfect and kind of what I'm looking for. Yours was too hot and no beer fridgepvr said:And you were complaining about my heated garage
That sounds like a great weekend Martin, your expertise on these cars never ceases to amaze me!enuff_zed said:This weekend NZR went international, with a visit to Dublin to meet [ref]carpetmanjoe[/ref]. I took a selection of airbag modules with me (I did wonder if airport security would pull me for them, but no problem at all, phew!) and I was able to use one of them to successfully clear Joe's airbag light. Then we spent an entertaining hour or two replacing the drivers door window regulator.
I have to say, working in a heated double garage with its own beer fridge is a great step up from my gravel drive at home.![]()
Joe and his lovely wife, Teresa, were the epitome of the perfect hosts, putting me up overnight, taking me out for a pub meal with copious amounts of Guinness, then producing the most impressive full English before dropping me back at the airport. (And yes, for the pedants, it was a full 'English' as it included baked beans, which I'm told a full 'Irish' doesn't.)
It wasn't a cheap undertaking for Joe, with all my travel costs, but I think we got everything done for around half of what he was quoted to simply supply and fit the window regulator.
Nobody over there could obtain the SBSL he needed, let alone consider coding it.
Thanks Joe, for an extremely enjoyable couple of days. Made a couple of great new friends and saved another zed. 8)
