Two lines on that graph Ronk.
Top one is people who haven't had any jabs. The bottom one is people who have had at least one.
The top one looks to have peaked and is heading down. The bottom one is rising.
It shows that people like yourself are still catching and passing on covid- just like the people who haven't had a jab.
My prediction is at some point the two lines will cross over the next couple of weeks and there will be more people who have been jabbed that have covid than people who haven't been jabbed who have covid.
The top one will be heavily influenced by the kids being mass tested. As soon as the holidays happen it will fall heavily because we won't be testing them 3 times a week. The bottom one will keep going up as the vaccinated will continue to pass the delta around.

Yep I’m double jabbed & I have caught COVID
So far as I know I never caught it up till now & I picked it up off a kid from school is my best guess as we were told on Thursday a child has tested positive & so I, as a close contact, had to isolate & take a PCR test. I got my confirmation text today so fortunately it’s only been immediate family I’ve seen & now they have had to PCR & isolate with me irrespective as we are a household.
Interestingly other staff have been reporting negative results but I would be amazed if I was the 3% who get false positive PCR results

Got to ask yourself how many more people are going to be getting vaccinated tho?
Apart from the 18-30's there doesn't look like there has been much of an uptake in the other age groups for a while. They have all flat lined really.
I know you guys think they are 100% safe but with more and more reports of severe side effects I would imagine that less are probably getting their second. It would be good to see the numbers on uptake of the second jab.
It's probably why the government are rolling out the threats of "passports for the pub" in the papers this weekend and making rules for travelers where if they are jabbed they don't have to stay in their houses for 10 days afterwards etc.
It's just a waiting game really for the unvaccinated- just have to give it the summer of you old boys picking it up and bringing it back for them to then realise these are silly decisions.

My partners brother is halfway through isolation- his house mate has got it but her brother has had two tests now and hasn't had a positive.
Housemate is not showing any symptoms other than a cold. It's a strange old thing.
Am I missing something, I thought the point of the vaccine is to reduce the symptoms so "A" you're less likely to become seriously ill and "B" as a consequence less likely ending up in hospital which I thought was the real goal, so if everyone is vaccinated but still freely passing the virus around it doesn't matter so much because you might be unwell but far less serious than if you remained unvaccinated. The but is those who haven't received the vaccine and the unknown regarding variants.

My dad had it before he passed away and we had another elderly relative pass away with Covid so he knows its a major risk to other elderly members of the family so he chose to have the jab.
The girls were all for doing it anyway so the whole family has been done

You know in all this discussion and stat dragging bore fest over the last year and more it boils down to this as far as I’m concerned: Chris Whitty, Patrick Vallance, JVT and others I haven’t taken names down but have listened to on radio etc, know 99% more than anyone on here, they are the people I listen too and make my judgements from, nothing to do with government, just these guys. No one knows more than them, and personally I’ll do what they say over anyone or anything anyone says on here, simple.
