2 tonnes?? where are you getting your facts mate... R8 is 1550 kg... the Z4M is 1450 kg.BMWZ4MC said:ChawenHalo said:Sports choice new Exige V6

996 GT3 is definitely no faster than the Z4M (been up against two different examples with two different drivers on two different tracks and beat them both), and the 997 probably isn't much faster (one only on one occasion and beat it after a bit of a struggle). The GT2 however...![]()

I can confirm this...with the same driver the 996 GT3 is equally fast... And thanks to my AP brake's I could brake at the same brake points.BMWZ4MC said:996 GT3 is definitely no faster than the Z4M (been up against two different examples with two different drivers on two different tracks and beat them both), and the 997 probably isn't much faster (one only on one occasion and beat it after a bit of a struggle). LOL, you may have been "up against" some GT3s on a track day, but I've tried a Z4MC against GT3s in a proper competition, and there's no chance. Bear in mind they're over 200kg lighter, and pushing out somewhere between 380 and 420 bhp. To beat them I'd have to fit a supercharger...BMWZ4MC said:996 GT3 is definitely no faster than the Z4M (been up against two different examples with two different drivers on two different tracks and beat them both), and the 997 probably isn't much faster (one only on one occasion and beat it after a bit of a struggle). Agree on the R8 though. I love them, but it would have to be a V10 to be an upgrade.
