Yep , its made me realise that many of the prev TG stunts,tasks & features were actually tenuous but the humour & delivery from the original 3 made it tolerable ( for me )
This may end up like Fifth Gear for me , watch with sound off & fast forward the bummphhh :cry:
 
Nomad section - I was actually looking forward to this as it's a toy that I wouldn't mind having at some point

The script for the segment sounded as though it was written for Hammond, and LeBlanc just doesn't seem to be able to deliver it very well - perhaps it's because he's a Yank trying to deliver British humour and just can't do the 'understated' bit...
 
They should have killed Top Gear off and gone in a completely new direction with a new name etc. Its just same old same old but I don't know how you follow on from the old Top Gear, I watched it for the presenters as much as anything as they gelled so well. Evans and LeBlank are like chalk and cheese and its not comfortable viewing. I don't mind Evans but his shouting is irritating and LeBlank just seems to be there to make the numbers. Early days yet but they're no Clarkeson, May and Hammond in their appeal.

I think that Clarkson, May & Hammond will have laughed their socks off watching that - not at the content but at the total lack of 'competition'

Actually I quite liked Matt LeBlanc, Chris Evans is very annoying.

I'm fairly sure the origianal episodes of top gear were s**t so let's give them a chance!
 
Other forums I've been on ban all talk of Top Gear, and with good reason - threads are instantly locked and deleted because they never, ever, EVER end well.

We've had lots of threads on Top Gear, don't recall them ever 'ending badly' or getting locked - we're all adults and are unlikely to start hurling abuse at each other over a TV program... (I hope :wink: )






...but I'm sure Lynchy will be along soon to shout 'F*ck*ers' or 'W@nkers' at people - assuming he could find his remote control to watch the program - his Forum Tourette's seems to be getting worse...

Yeah, in that show it seemed to be

Evans = Clarkson
LeBlanc = Hammond or May depending on the segment
 
Early days and may improve. Matt seemed a bit wooden and Chris just shouted a lot.

First Top Gear I've watched that didn't provide one laugh :thumbsdown:
 
Watched out of interest but I am afraid it's a very pale imitation of the original, with Chris Evans self promotion evident at every opportunity . Will give it a chance but if it doesn't get any better then i think the audience figures will speak for themselves.
