New to forum, new to E85 ownership, help needed!

Hi everyone!
My name is Taz and I've just joined this forum. I'm a Londoner now living in the Netherlands and have just bought a 2005 E85 Z4 3.0i, which I'm getting to know any am definitely enjoying so far.

However, I have a few things I'd like to change, ASAP, and hope fellow 'forumers' can point me in the right direction!
So here goes:

- firstly the seats. I have standard leather heated electric seats which I'm not a fan of. Would prefer the M Performance alcantara/leather seats or other similar alternatives. I can forego the electric seat function but prefer to retain the heated option. And I'm not handy at all so need to have them installed by someone who knows their way about the car.....any help appreciated! (I saw a post by @bmwZ where he showed his M Perf seats and it was love at first sight....)

- secondly, the audio. Whilst I have an upgraded speaker/amp set-up, I don't have an aux input nor USB and therefore have zero connectivity - bluetooth included - to my phone. Which is a pain! any Audio upgrade recommendations highly appreciated, thank you (oh, also, is it possible to change the display screen? I have to 2005 version, it's OK but would love something more modern if possible....

- finally, despite an upgraded air filter and exhaust (all fitted by previous owner), I wouldn't mind a power hike and a better noise - more rumble and a freer spinning engine also. I'm no mechanic so again, any help appreciated.

That's all for now guys, look forward to being an active member on this forum.
Cheers from Holland!
Taz

This link has performance recommendations for the M54 engine. You already have the cold air and upgraded exhaust system. So according to the suggestion in the article, having those two and changing the cam shafts to Schrick 264/248 would boost your horsepower to 260/270.

I checked the price of those cams, about $1300 USD, and whatever the installation would cost if you don’t do it yourself.

Good luck and enjoy.

Hey Old Duckman, thanks for the response, I'll check it out!

A warm welcome - a browse through some of the threads held in the 'How-To' sub-forum will help with your audio and interior questions

We also like pictures on here :poke:

I'm trying to insert pictures but for some reason, unavailable. Clicking on the icon gives me only the box as such! Maybe browser-related?
Copy paste also doesn't work....!
I'll keep trying :)
