Well im moving full frame so once that pill is swallowed.. but yes I will haha! For the consumer the DSLR is dead. Only reason to get a DSLR now is for the ergonomics which for you hard core photographers using cameras every day or professionally will appreciate, but for an occasion or as a consumer camera they cannot be beaten. The only other reason I can think which is unfortunate.. because they are new tech the bottom line DSLRs are cheaper... But as with everything you have to wait and be without it for the price to drop which it will so its a flip of the coin. Also there is to be a high end version of the EOS M to be announced so it should reduce in price slightly.
But I dont like buying first gen cameras as there are always problems, best to wait 2-3 months to make sure there are no problems let the dust settle. As with the 5D MKIII there were some pretty big problems off the bat, so just waiting and to see also what the rumoured Canon 3DX may bring... there is a high MP FF (1 Series type) also a low end FF camera camera in the works (or needs to be announced) so interesting times at Canon so I dont want to dive in until I know where I am and what will be best but 5D MKIII is top of the list atm
