Neil's Coupe

This is an epic mod.

But what have you done with the cable situation? and where have you put it?

Pics would be awesome

Thanks tomscott, eventually it will live in the centre console bit behind the seat, but for now it's just left in the boot (I need a longer tosslink cable!)

Few pics...

another benefit of this mod is that it plays really nicely with my Mophie juice pack air. Given there is no data passthrough (only power) I don't need to keep removing the bottom of the case to gain access to the lightning port and well, when I'm at home, wi-fi sync works a treat!

Marius, wheels are in the garage needing a refurb, honestly haven't had the time yet for that. Will be getting that done this week.

Found some of the pics from Dips (the person who refurb'd the wheels)

They were acid dipped and powder coated oem silver and for the price, the work is faultless!

After they got home, the whole wheel was covered with wheel guard by chemical guys. Stuff smells awesome!

Now onto some more recent mods...couldn't decide if i liked having an aerial or running without one...so I just shortened my oem one.

1) Take a factory aerial...

2) Remove the tip

3) Cut to desired length and put the tip back on.

Also fitted some hid's in the fog lights. Few reasons behind this...the silver reflector is a little too distracting so I want to tint it, consequently, I've just upped the light output to compensate.

plowy, front needed a 10mm spacer. 5 would suffice but I didn't want a generic spacer that didn't extent the mounting hub.

I do believe that Marius runs a 15mm on the front of his, with a narrower tyre.

Machine monkey, thank you good sir! She's due a trip to a nice location for a shoot soon and then will be selling the wheels!

What kit did you use for the fogs?

cheapo HID kit from Amazon. (already had ballasts so just got a pair of bulbs)

For god sake man, I really wanted to see what it'd look like on those not being low as Marius' was!!!

More pics!

I would be lower but I can barely get up my drive as it is and currently can't warrant the extortionate prices for bagged top mounts. :x

All the (decent) pics I have are posted previously in the thread.

Long overdue update, nothing much has changed since I've been busy finishing my final year of uni.

Decided to get the car a tad lower that it was before, to keep me out of trouble from a heavy right foot of course.

Meanwhile I had some closure on my corroding 108's.

After being told that I was basically on my own with the corrosion and an email to the dealer principal, Sytner agreed to refurbish one of the wheels (all 4 were corroded but one in particular was really bad). To be honest, I could live with that too given the age etc of the car.

Back comes my wheel and the diamond cut barrel has been painted. More complaining later and they agreed to refurbish the rest of the set to be of the same finish.

Quite a result there and what little faith remained in dealers is on its way to being restored.
