My Z4 Coupe a year on from purchase. Picture heavy!!

very nice, but i couldn't live with the orange indicators showing through, so i tinted them using mirror tint film.

might aswell do it now otherwise you'll only end up kicking yourself later on.

Why not put in the angel eyes now? Not sure if these are good ones, but someone will correct me if they aren't:

Go for LED not CCFL...

Tinted indicator bulbs? Do you mean the glass inserts? Also what tint film do you mean?

Yea leds look to be the way forward. Have you got any links to the best ones to use?

yes, i applied mirror tint film onto the orange glass housing which the indicator bulbs sits behind. it means your indicator bulbs will be invisible when off, rather than glowing orange still.

made a start on putting the clear headlight back together.

i decided i didn't like the orange-ness coming through the clear headlight when the indicators aren't on, so bought some mirror tint film:

to wrap these orange domes, which sit on top of the indicator bulb:

bit of a fiddly job, and the rounded end made it impossible to use one piece.

finished:

clear surround fitted:

and they still shine orange when held up to light:

yea i see what you mean now, well unfortunately i couldnt get hold of any angel eyes (and im glad i didnt as the rings are 69mm & 80mm on the Bi Xenons) or mirror tint film so Ive left them as they are, ill open them up again if it really bothers me.

got the inners painted & indicators tinted & put back together

then all sealed up

was a bit of over spill with the sealer, but that will just get trimmed once its set :D

really nice job you've done there

with regards to the sealant, originally i put them same amount as you on, in the same way. it soon misted up on a cold and wet day, so had to add more sealant over the top.

Well the sealer finally set after 24 hours, after a quick trim of the over flow sealer I got them put into the car. They look sooo much better!

heres a close up photo of how they look. had no proper rain yet to see how well sealed they are, but hopefully ill have no problems

Will try and get it cleaned tomorrow if the weathers good and get some more pictures taken :D

Wow!

Look great.

Any chance for a pic with the halo's on?

aquazi I didnt manage to get any halos installed as I couldnt get any delivered in time. luckily I didnt buy them before as the rings are different sizes on the bi xenon headlights, the outer rings measured 80mm & the inners measured 69mm.

This could be the cars last mod as have a feeling I will be selling up at the end of the year

A couple of new pictures from my weekend at Modified Nationals with my local club Modified Addicts

Had a few rolling road shots taken by a friend on the way home too so will get them up once I get them from him

Love it  a true credit to what tasteful mod's can do to a already great looking car
