Well as I’ve had the car a year now I thought I’d get some photos up of the car from start to where I am now. Sorry for all the pictures!

Heres how I bought it March 2012, completely standard

First thing to sort was a stubby, then a good clean & full machine polish! She sparkled after!

I didnt wast time keeping it standard & later in March I decided to do the little mods like carbon badges & gloss black grills

As with nearly all facelift owners I had the leaking fog lights problem. After a short while of looking into buying second hand or new ones & seeing the price I decided to refurb my own.
Ill come back to this later as I lost interest after purchasing an M bumper. But here how they looked at the beggining of April 2012

By the end of April I had tried to wrap the roof myself, didnt go so well! But as I liked the look from a distance I decided to paint the roof & mirrors gloss black

Early May I decided to refurb & paint the alloys myself, as I had the roof & mirrors gloss black I decided to do them completely black. Heres them stripped down

Then painted in my garage, after a little flatting & polishing they came up quite nice for a rattle can job :D

Then mid may came the coilovers, this pic was taken before I had adjusted the fronts & rears to how I liked them

Again later in May I tinted all 3 rears lights

I also decided to get the fog light finshed as the M bumper wouldnt be repaired & painted for a few months

I also tinted the fogs & got them fitted, looks a bit more meaner now!

Heres a updated of picture of how its looked in June last year at a show called DC12

I finaly got round to trying on the M bumper

I then didnt do much for a couple of months apart from repair the M bumper & source all the grilles etc. Finally in September I got it painted & fitted :D

I also purchased the ZHP! What a difference they make to how the cars drives!

The begining of October saw the biggest challenge at the time. I picked up the X5 wheels which at the time I wasnt sure whether they would fit

After a couple of months of playing around making sure they fit & sourcing some tyres I finally got them fitted to the car just before christmas

By the begining of this year I got round to making a pair of front bumper fang protectors & an M bumper undertray extension.
I wasnt a fan of paying over £100 for an undertray when I could make something that will do the same job for a lot less money

and

It was then time to go a little lower, so I purchased a set of Spax RSX coilovers & fitted them mid January

And finally this is how it looks currently, this will be updated shortly once the X5 wheels have been painted & fitted

no csl's and the car is lowered , you have offended 99% of members already

Looks lovely

Was going to suggest some spacers for the 108s, but they'd be wasted as the X5 wheels sit out more right ?

cheers for the comments :D I like to be different, exactly the reason I didnt want CSLs :P

I did have 20mm spacers on the rear Bing I just never got any pictures of the car with them on

And yes the X5 wheels sit about flush with the arch :D

wow you have been busy, I havnt done any of that in my first year of ownership! Just out of curiosity, how many miles have you racked up? A measley 2500 for me..

That looks really good... How did you do the 108 refurb exactly? Just splitted, sanded and spray painted with a spray can?

nice pics, i prefer the 108's to the x5 wheels

and after 12 months you have not joined the exclusive coupe club nor have you fitted a front window sticker :poke: :P

Nice. What colour are you going to go for with the X5 wheels? Hopefully they'll be staying silver, or a light colour? I think the 108's look better in silver on your car than black.

bluestreak56 ive probably done about 7,000 miles, I always buy a cheap couple of hundred quid run about over winter & im only a couple of miles from work so the mileage doesnt rack up :D

Bad_Pritt I just split the alloys, rubbed all the corrosion down, primed the complete alloys then painted them, its not the best job, but its pretty damn good for a spray can :P

Taz whats the exclusive coupe club? and as much as id love to promote the forum, im not one for stickers on my cars. I like a clean fresh look

Deutsche_Blonde im doing the X5 wheels gloss black, i quite like gloss black on my cars as you can probably tell

NeilP yes ill defiantly be at DC13 this year, was the best show of last year & I wouldnt miss it for the world! I love German machinery in the form of VAGs & BMWs

Not sure on the X5 alloys (black or as they are).

I would normally be against the 108's in black, however... I concede they look very good with the mirrors, roof etc.

Very Cool man! Love the progression. Any details on how you got those wheels to fit?

It's pretty simple job, you remove old wheels and put new ones on than secure them with the five bolts witch where holding old wheels.
