My car really is a pussy magnet

My own cat (Gunther)has been told off for this back when I had a VX220T and he's learnt from the experience. However I occasionally have the same issue as you with another cat in the street and it seems that Gunther isn't bullish enough to see it off if it's sleeping on the Zs roof, so I've had to be the one to dissuade the interloper. Fortunately, I've noticed this other cat once or twice when it's been on the roof and managed to get out there and throw a cup of water over it. It's not since returned.

I wouldn't feed them if I were you though, they'll just spend more time at your place, which means they'll spend more time on your car I'd suspect.

Some cats are more resilient than others though and will keep returning. How about using a motion sensor attached to a hose to give them a cold blast if they get near your car? : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Procter-Pest-Stop-Havahart-Spray-Away/dp/B000FII3ZQ

Thanks for the advice guys... Well for £60 i may chance the scatmat outdoors then.

So if you throw a cup of water over the one on the bonnet, I guess you'll have a warm, wet .........

Sorry. I'll get my coat.

(give me your number plate :) )

It's a Northern Ireland plate made up with illegal spacing. CAZ and KAZ prefixes are more pricey to buy these days but there's still bucketloads of NI plates available containing 'Z4' for well under £200...

DRZ 4640 - £170
CXZ 4470 - £195
JFZ 4074 - £195
KAZ 6023 - £475
MLZ 4301 - £260

These are on the plates4less website but there are others offering similar or better deals...

CXZ 4506 - £128 all in on speedyreg website.

The above prices include all costs including DVLA transfer fees. I was surprised at how cheap some of them are.

Have you considered selling the wheels and bumpers in your garage and storing your car in there. :? :?

And x 2 on the PVC door, I have one and installing a cat flap presented no problem.

Ok had the car covered for 2 weeks while i was away... Got 2 ultra sonic things either end of the car, and sprayed the roof with citronella.... Quite a pleasant, but potent citrus smell... And...

I want to keep them for when i demod, i could prob still fit my car if it was only those... My other gear (or as the gf calls it junk  )takes up more room.

I asked the landlord last week if they could fit a catflap... And they dont mind.... But the lady / family renting said she doesnt need it... Cats should roam free WTF :x

I dont wanna say that i told you so,the ultrasonics are a waste of money....

You will try everything just like i did and end up with the Scatmat......

It works......... Especially of the owner is being a typical nuisance pet owner(wont take any responsibilty)...........

Get em zapped,they learn quickly..

A little update...

I ended up with a scatmat on the bonnet.... And it worked... Sort of... It started sitting on the bootlit :headbang:
Moved it to the boot and they went back to the roof!

However the tenents have now moved! So i have a scatmat, 2 untrasonic's and citronella left for the next cat which tries it!

Living down a road full of cat people I've yet to find evidence of cat on the Z.

Luckily my one is a pansy and runs off from anything :D No chance of her going near the car

LOL!

They moved? Probably because some lunatic electrocuted their cat. :P

Haha... Maybe thats the actual long term solution... Drive the neighbours with cats to move!

On a separate note.... In using the scatmat... On its highest setting dont touch it! I accidentally touched it walking past my car... Wowsers its got some shock... Scared the heck out of me too!

Hardcore kitties!
We have tonnes of cats around here, but they seem to prefer walls or the underside of cars from what I can work out. There was a new kitten in the area I spotted clambering on the Zed a few weeks back, but he seemed more confused by the fabric roof than anything else, then promptly got himself stuck on a first-floor windowsill of the house it was parked next to :D

That's exactly what mine would do...outfoxed by a furball :)

Least they have moved on now.
