My own cat (Gunther)has been told off for this back when I had a VX220T and he's learnt from the experience. However I occasionally have the same issue as you with another cat in the street and it seems that Gunther isn't bullish enough to see it off if it's sleeping on the Zs roof, so I've had to be the one to dissuade the interloper. Fortunately, I've noticed this other cat once or twice when it's been on the roof and managed to get out there and throw a cup of water over it. It's not since returned.
I wouldn't feed them if I were you though, they'll just spend more time at your place, which means they'll spend more time on your car I'd suspect.
Some cats are more resilient than others though and will keep returning. How about using a motion sensor attached to a hose to give them a cold blast if they get near your car? : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Procter-Pest-Stop-Havahart-Spray-Away/dp/B000FII3ZQ
