I think you are going to struggle to shift them. If they are regularly outdoors then a soft top is a great, comfortable vantage point for them.

Considering one is sleeping on the hood, I don't think they care if it's metal or not. But yeah, pretty frustrating.Woo7dy said:Coupes have uncomfortable metal roofs so fortunately we don't encounter this problem of cats sleeping up there, yet another bonus! Do their claws not scratch the bodywork?? Naughty pussies!
haha i had to read that twice to appreciate itBing said:dan yeates said:Can you get a shower cap type cover for the car. Easy to put on and off and will protect the roof.
This is a good idea - when you want to take the car out you can just wrap them up in it and hang them off their owner's front door handle :|

I did this with my Z3 but you have to catch them at it as often as you can consistently for it to work.

On the landlord thing. Most land lords don't realy worry about cats. Even if it says no pets. If the moneys coming in, unless they start shredding the curtains, they simply turn a blind eye. Unless you can find them another tenant.

If they have a PVC door,a steel toe cap boot goes easily through the panel section...........Instant cat flap!!

I sent an email to scatmat... And they said the powerpack isnt waterproof and dont recommend its use outdoors
The tenents next door are absolutely hopeless... They have 2 rabbits which run wild too.... Nearly drove over one the other day... Saw its eyes last minute and braked.
Would it be wrong for me to put a note in their door telling them to keep their cat off my car?
I have used mine outside extensively...I just folded the mat over where the powerpack sits... Its also very easy just to unclip the powerpack, its on 2 "poppers"...
I was in the same position as you,and i went and asked them about a solution to there cats sitting on my car. There cats have scratched a lot of my cars and i got to the end of my tether with it,especially after one slid down my bonnet after the car had been paint corrected 24hrs before..
Its a shame,as i really like the cats and we look after them when they go on holiday but i shouldnt have to pay for damage that they cause..
