TBH the brakes on the Z4M as standard are pretty damn good. We're just geeks & trackday enthusiasts I've got the AP brakes too & whilst I echo all the positive stuff above, tbh I'm starting to wish I'd spent the £2k on something more important as it did stop *fairly* well before.

The stock set up is more than enough on the road and took quite a beating on track before there was any fade.
I still have stock discs and calipers but I'm using Super Blue fluid and EBC Bluestuff (race only) pads. The brakes are fantastic on track with this set up with no fade or loss of pedal feel and respond instantly when cold on the road. However, I get through sets of pads at a ridiculous rate. I'm moving to Australia in January, but when I'm back in 2014 I'll be looking to fit a BBK (as well as coilovers and a supercharger as finances allow).
