Damn..you're right , just double checked after you said that and somehow I had 245/35 18R selected PSS, can't find 255 , back to the drawing board then... :(

I discovered this back in the Autumn so decided to run with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy2 which I'm very pleased with.

I'm thinking about getting those now aswell, they seem to be good also !
 
Okay, as I have PS2s and will need new rears by the end of summer just want to be clear...

PS2s no longer available, replaced by PSS which I won't be able to get in OEM size - so I will need to go for a different type / brand on the rears when I replace them ?

WTF would you replace a tyre type and NOT replicate the available sizes ???

That's an Idea, any problem with rubbing ? do they protude out a lot past the rims ?

No rubbing, lots of people do it

If anything they look better on the rims, and you wont curb the wheels :-)
 
got any pics of them mounted showing the the extra width pilchardthecat?

What did you have before to compare these to?

I'm due new rears soon, but i don't like the idea of mixing vreds (front) with PSS (rear).
 
I've got PSS on the rears with the conti M3's on the front and theres been no issue. now that the fronts are due replacement after a good going on a track day at croft a month ago i'll be putting PSS on the fronts too without a doubt. grip is second to non and 10 times better than the standard conti's my rears are 265/40/18 if anyone wants a pic to see size comparison and profile height just ask :)

I would very much appreciate a picture.

Sometime soon I will have to replace my tires and I plan to fit Michelin PSS on standard Z4M rims, 265/40x18 rear and 235/45x18 front.
That's 10mm wider than stock at each corner, while keeping the stock aspect ratio, which means slightly larger diameter (+8mm rear, +9mm front).
Can anyone confirm that with the setup mentioned above there are no rubbing issues (for both front and rear axles)?
 
i can also confirm there is no rubbing issues, even whilst on track with hard cornering rubbing wasnt an issue. i cant speak for the fronts yet though as im still wearing my conti's out that are the standard 225 45 18 size.
I'll get you some pictures of the tyres on the wheels tonight

Got PSS on both my Z4MC and RS4 Avant - quite an investment in rubber but they have made a significant improvement in grip, comfort and turn-in on both cars. Well worth it IMO.
 
i made the switch to pss this spring. best decision i have made, and i will probably stick with this tire when the time comes to change. very impressed with them in every category
