Spot on. Speak to people from the north about her and speak to southerners and you'll get two ends of the opinion spectrum.
I admired her for her tenacity and strength and for doing a job in what was quite frankly a mans world but she was wrong in a lot of her policies.
Yes we have a government today who are, 'these are our policies and if you don't like them we have some different ones' but I wouldn't want the Thatcherite government back in power.
She did some good and she did some bad and the bad she did was very bad. There are families today still suffering from her policies but then again we haven't had a government since who has managed to put her 'errors' right.
I won't shed a tear over her passing but the ones who are celebrating it are a disgrace.

That's a pretty much how I feel. I don't mourn her passing, but I won't celebrate it either.

Their is far to fuss being made over her funeral. Ex prime ministers don't normally have this type of funeral so what's difference for Mrs Thatcher.

sp3ctre said:I saw a quote of hers today, "the trouble with Socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money". Unfortunately that is true, and the people whining about her politics never seem to come up with better suggestions, especially considering the troubled times we were in.
... and the people whining about "she stole school milk"... well that's just pathetic!
My wife is from South Africa and she is asking why everyone is so agressive, especially to someone who has passed away. I have no answer other than that's just the way our country has gone... at the moment I feel ashamed to be British considering the way a lot of our population are behaving

Not if North Korea carry on the way they are...

Soaring extraction costs and poor high chlorine coal was also partly to blame that it was becoming unsustainable.
