I get my new tyres fitted Friday. So i have got to get them painted calipers and inside the arches done by then.
 
They are looking mint! Shame about this weather they're gonna be thrown into ...

How durable would a clear coat? Do you reckon it would start pealing / flaking at all? And then with wax the question is would it protect them enough...

Ok so these are going on with new non run flat tyres today :D I cant wait to say i am excited is an understatement!!

The DIY refurbishment has been a massive pain in the but. And i would highly recommend that you don't bother!!! And just pay a professional. The pictures make them look better than they are. I had to rush the painting :( They will probably get more paint and polish over the winter. But now the weather looks to be turning i want to enjoy my first ever year with roof down motoring. I will post some pictures on the car when done and if i can work out how to do it on my ipad.

WOW what a difference!!! The non run flats make. I will take pics and a bit of a write up tomorrow. I am off out driving again roof down :thumbsup:
 
They look seriously impressive mate, just like my MM handbrake handle does! :)

Thanks guys they look better from a 1m away!! It was so much hard work define toy a labor of love.

I honestly didn't think proper tyres and not the silly RFTs. Would make such a difference. I haven't noticed a difference in flat out grip as they are still new! But there is more feeling thro the steering and I don't drive around cringing. I have fallen head over hills in love with her again :wub:

I will wash all the gunk off and give her a wax tomorrow. And post some pics. Kind of wish I had a darker colour now to show off the shine better.
 
Good to hear the tyres make such a difference. Can't wait to put some on mine. Fed up wandering around over white lines :cry:
