Machine monkeys zed

I got my FIL to take some pictures I will post tomorrow. We where hoping to o for a wee hoon and find a nice spot but the weather cow as changing. So ended up taking them outside a load of garages

Thanks bing it was so much time and hard work!! It must have been at least 50 hrs. It's nice to know others can see the hard work

Ok some pics of my car and the various things i have done so far. The next thing i will be doing is getting my new bumper on and getting that and the bonnet sprayed. And i am going to try and sort some of the other paint related problems myself. If any one has an y tips as to what touch up paint and how to get the best results. I would welcome any advice and help.

After that the next things to be done to the Monkey mobile are.
1 Sort out all the minor rubbing in the arches. Front wheels rub at the front bumper so move the arch liner behind the bumper. The rear arches i will get the heat gun out and remold a bit. Its all only minor rubbing and i don't think i need to roll the arches.
2 Fit new front ///M3 anti roll bar and powerflex bushes. I got these of Mr Losser.
3 Fit new powerflex lollipops got these of Shooter. I hope both of these will really sharpen up the car.
4 Get some new cleaning products for the roof, Leather and dash.
5 Hope some cheap second hand coilovers turn up????? If not fit some FK springs.
6 Get the steering wheel trimmed and a bit chunkier.
7 Get some new seats something to hold me in place.

Any way some pictures

Only Joking!!!

That about it.

Boom! Looks ace. 8)

If it were me, I would have de-ginge and clear 3rd brake light on the list. It's good list though.

Thanks Guys  The wheels will get resprayed over winter after having the out building turned into a workshop.

The ginger thing is not something that bothers me so much at the moment! Probably because i am really colour blind!!

those wheels are well nice. 8)

i think i owe you summat for the box that arrived last week drop me a pm with the amount in and ill paypal it over.

Thanks Dom it was far to much work i think i have invested about 60hours into them. But i have those wheels and brand new Falkens and its cost me about £1000.

Yes mate i cant remember what we agreed on or how much the postage was. To be honest if you had kept quite i would have forgotten about them. Are they ok?

They look class, surely well worth the hours. Offset/stagger looks good too, is that with spacers?

Car is looking very tidy!!

Looks good, apart from the blue mats :poke:

You did good job on the wheels also. I keep thinking about getting some for mine instead of CSL's

Thanks Tom yeah but i wont be doing it again!! No spacers on the back just standard ///M3 Wheels. I have 12mm on the front but not happy so i will be making some 15mm - 20mm some time next week.

Up close there are the usual 10 year old car marks. But i am working on that.

Thanks Swiftly

Number 4 on the list my friend. You should see the roof

You cross on off from the top of the list Matt and then add 2 more to the bottom, never ending

I cleaned my roof at weekend, was really shocked at how much green gunk came off, looks brill now though :D

I know that feeling. Would have spent more time on the car Saturday but Mrs Monkey gave me a long list of jobs to do in the garden!!

What do you use on your roof? I have never had a soft top i am kind of in the dark what to use??

Numerous threads and different views on what products to use. I used Autoglym Cabriolet Fabric Hood Cleaning Kit, it does a great job and doesn't cost the earth. The cleaner works really well, and the water will bead in light rain.

My father in law used that on his mx5. I have read a few threads and it can get a bit confusing. Every one seems to have a different opinion. Lots of people seem to say the AG products are not that great. I have a few of them and they all seem good to me?? Personal recommendation from you i am just off to Amazon to buy some.
