Mat come to Hullavington Airfield next Friday, even if you can get a half day off work mate. Your more than welcome to jump in the car with me. It's only £15 for a passenger. I was getting some lovely sideways action in my car last time.

You don't want to get into clutch kicking, you will just f**k your car up. Scandinavian flick is what you want to be doing

I have done a bit of driving buddy.... To be fair I only did the one lap of messing about. The point I was trying to make and you will know. Is that the mechanical grip levels with a LSD is through the roof compared to an open diff....

The rest of the time I was trying to be tidy. No way in hell I could do a track day sat in the passengers seat!!!!!
I can make it anyway the car is off the road now until it's paint is done.

Yeah have to agree there is loads of grip now, the LSD really does transform the car. It has to be one of the best mods for the car if you enjoy spirited driving.

Have you decided on a colour yet or you staying with silver.??

Your right on the money there, best to have a couple of spare rears with cheap 225s on for lots of power sliding

Yeah I know I don't think just a screw is the best solution...... I will think but they are brittle and exsphensive for what they are.

Also the kumho ku39 tyres where really good. Thus far I would say better by a large margin than my previous Falkens. Also the Mfactory diff was amazing on this course I really struggled to get the arse out eberything turned off. The only way I could get it sliding was to clutch kick. Literally I was mashing the throttle the car has so much rear grip it's ace.

Also had a very experienced guy drive my car. He drives a e46 330 and was sliding his car. He couldn't get mine to go and was very impressed. So much he might be getting one

Mat

Very experienced guy? i will deffo take that compliment :D

Your car was really good tbh, as a whole not just the diff, but the diff does raise the bar massively with regards to mechanical grip levels

A Curburgring sticker will be on its way as soon as ian or myself can get some, it was great to meet you and have some entusiastic new faces who really want to explore what their car can do in relative safety, look forward to the next one :D

Oh and dont forget the Curburgring trackdays facebook page for regular updates on events etc

What about this for your front bumper? Quick release.

Are you running a squared setup for track?

I have a set of 17" wheels for the rear!! There was a guy on track drifting. But I was having a really good day and didn't fancy ruining the day if I got it wrong there is not a lot of run off on the track!! And I am not as skilled as I would like to be

Well you are very experienced Mark!!and you where throwing your car around nicely and mine!!! Did Ian tell you I had a few problems with a sticky calliper on the way home.... I am blaming you

I am glad you liked how it handled. I have spent a lot of time and cash getting it how I like. Polly bushes m3 ARB RTAB limiting washers coilovers all new bushes everywhere and the diff of course. I had the car set up for road Friday I forgot to bring to tools to change it. So the car was a bit soft and squishy for track.

We both really enjoyed the day and we will both be coming on the next one. It's a great little track and a lot of fun.

See you there next time.

What a great-looking spoiler! Like that design. As a style item, you win! (i.e. not sure on aero performance but who gives a monkey's!)
Stevo

Massive aero advantage Stevo  Its one of the reasons i couldn't get the bum to slide

Thanks good to know a few others like it.

Lol you aren't the first person to tell me off after i've driven/abused their car, unfortunatley the brakes do take a bit of hammer as do the tyres, ask ian about the new conti's i scrubbed in for him on the Z4m.
Glad you enjoyed the day and will see you again as soon as i get some dates booked

I might need to service the brakes!! Next track booked for the 10th July

Work has started on the paintwork. Got loads on at home had a fence blow over in the winds!! And twisted my knee yesterday trying to stop the dog eating some very fresh chicken!! So I can hardly walk

So a few pictures managed to strip the rear and front of the car no problem.
I will need to read a guide on removal of door cards so i can get the handles out. And then how to remove the side-skirts and if possible i will remove the panel between the boot and the roof.

Started rubbing down and found a few nastiest my car has had a small bump on the front passengers wing. Nothing major just needs a bit of extra work. One of the headlight fixing points was broken also so i will fix that too. the bone has some horrendously think bodged on paint  And will take a lot of work. So no dead line but i will want it done not long after i get back of a holiday so early July i hope.
